Rago Modular Storage Panel Shelf

I haven't seen a post regarding this yet.

Rago just listed this on their site.

5th Gen Toyota 4Runner Modular Storage Panel System – Rago Fabrication

Looks awesome!

Can be mounted at any height on their side panels.

This looks to be a great option for a lot of different things.

I have ordered mine and will report back once it is in and installed!

**. Well I received mine while in Ouray 2 weeks ago and it has just been too damn hot.
Finally installed it this morning. I need to readjust my side panel items and put some of the tools back up.
Also need to do some work organizing the shelf as I’m going to hard mount my air compressor and such on it but I threw the small bags up there just for reference.

I really like this shelf. It is very adaptable to a lot of different needs. I will be very happy with this

Thumbs up

This may have solved my dilemma on whether I should get a drawer system setup.

@RagoFabrication
Wondering a few things:
(1) how they lock into the side panels;
(2) how much they'd rattle; and
(3) whether powdercoating is available (and for how much)

This shelf is really cool. Looks like it can be mounted in the front or back of the panels too if you wanted a barrier. Almost makes you forget that they are asking almost $1k after taxes for the shelf and side panels you need to mount it.

Has the whole world gone insane?

i did verify before i ordered mine that it will come powdercoated black like the side panels.
they just told me that the photos were of their test panel.

i am not sure about the others but i am sure they don't rattle

im no shill for the company but i have had my side panels for over a year and a half so, to me, spending under 400 for an awesome solution to a very specific cargo issue i have makes a ton of sense

I have multiple products from them including the MSPs and really am a fan of the company. Everyone buying this though already spent about $500 and it just feels like too much to me. Might just be me though, I guarantee it's beautifully designed so I get it, but still, ouch.

let us know if it impedes rear view mirror vision.

A lot of the current ceiling hammocks when loaded down, impede rear view vision.

depends on where you place it.
it can go at any height...
where i am going to install it is going to 100% impede on my rear view mirror vision when loaded up.
it is going to be installed near the bottom of the rago side panels

I currently have a raingler cargo ceiling net. When loaded down it does obstruct my rear view mirror (what little I can see with the spare on a tire carrier and a large fridge on the other side). I wanted a solution that didn't sag so I did purchase this product. Also, items have several times come forward off the raingler net when stopping quickly or on some bumpy trails. This looks like it has a front lip. Additionally, I will be able to easily bungee cord things to this. I'll also post pics once this is installed. I plan to have it on the highest setting (like they have in their pics online) so that it will clear my fridge that sits on a slide on top of 10" drawers.

Looks heavy for what could be a simple platform that easily ties into the side panels. While the top of the vertical panels are mounted securely because it's a direct bolt-to-steel location, I'd have concerns when the shelf is set to the lowest possible position on the vertical panel. The lower mounting points with the spacers may not be up to the task.

And honestly, it's way over priced. With a little bit of DIY skill, you could create something for far less than $100 and you could find it all at Home Depot or Lowes.

Wish we had black headliners like the taco. I don't even have the shelf and my headliner already looks like crap.

Other then the fact that your headliner is going to get gross I like it alot.

Such a fantastic looking system. Sucks Im too much of a cheapass to put out that kind of money for the system. It doesnt solve any issues I currently have (Yet).
