Thanks man! I thought the software might be comparable (albeit upgraded) and therefore a setting someone may have encountered. Its annoying to think that the Sub Out may not even be functional despite being part of the hardware. I guess I may have to tap a high level signal and install an LOC. UGH, more wiring!

Yeah they do weird things with these units sometimes. Try contacting the vendor you bought it from to verify sub function on your unit. Or maybe try to pm someone who has a T8 to verify with them. Good luck.

Do you have a USB drive plugged in? I had an issue where mine didn't like the USB drive I had and when it would go to sleep, it would wake up thinking that the drive was corrupted and force a reboot instead of a wake. Swapping the drive fixed it for me.

It’s annoying so hopefully someone has a solution! Thanks in advance

I'm very interested in finding this out as well. Their website specs elude to it, but I'd like to know for sure. This will keep me from buying a 2020 and keep my car payments at $0/month. lol.

Anyone running this unit also running a SwitchPros? Would like to know if the radio will run the app and connect to the SwitchPros seeing as not all android devices seem to be able to.

Well. Got the T9 installed and have had some similar issues to others. The unit boots up every single time instead of sleeping. It’s a ridiculous long time where it goes through Toyota and android screen. I’ll try unplugging the usb harnesses in back.

I’m unable to use the EQ.... which is weird because in all the reviews and posts I’ve read concerning this thing, I’ve never seen that being an issue. If I slide down from top and click EQ, the screen crashes.

The wireless CarPlay connection has been taking a while to connect.

Not too happy with this thing yet but going to try and experiment a bit more before ripping it out.

The USB issue alone makes me not want this. I'll be buying a wired carplay adapter (it's absurd that this isn't just built-in compatible with wired carplay) as I like charging my phone while using

Just got mine over the weekend and tried to install it. Toyota splash screen came on, then showed "android" and then just sat there forever and never booted up. Anything else I should try before sending it back?

I wish someone would assemble these stateside and just utilize the bezel. I'd pay a premium to have something like this that just works as it should. I feel like this is is a gap in the market that someone could take advantage of. Or hell just purchase these, tweak them and sell them for more. I'd bite.
