Does the screen and any backlit buttons have a dim setting? Is it automatic (from headlight switch)?

That's a joke right? Windows 10 is updated all the time. Any device running windows 10 (legally) can get updates. This HU that was designed and manufactured in 2019 is running the same OS as was released in 2017.
Bug fixes? Nope
Security updates? Nope
Enhancements? Nope
Still just Android 8.1!

It’s a head unit. I don’t see how that matters. None of my other car electronics get weekly updates either.

Lol... My Wolfe gourmet 4 slice toaster is no longer supported and got its last security update in 2018.
I think some folks are just clawing for reasons to hate the device because they are jealous.

If you had to login to your accounts on a toaster, and app updates not supporting the old OS past a certain date, that would also be really bad

imagine if it stopped doing that and the new toast app didn't run on the unspported OS or froze and sometimes crashed when making toast because your toaster hadn't received important security or performance updates that the toast app needed to perform well. then to make toast you would have to look for old .apk toast apps on download sites from previous versions and sideload them and just hope they didn't have malware. all because your toaster started out on an old edition of the Toast OS and the manufacturer won't release updates.

Jealous of a $500 Chinese knock off radio that can't be updated? Yeah....
All I see in here is people asking for a real unbiased review, especially after how poorly the T8 turned out and how disappointed people were with it's lack of quality and functionality
