Replacing XREAS with 5100/5160

XREAS suspension leaking so its time to gut and replace with something else but I'm really at a loss due to stock availability and don't understand lift.

I would have gone with 6112/5160 setup but the 6112 are on backorder indefinitely. Someone I know who works for Bilstein doesn't know why the 6112 have been on backorder for so long. I decided to go with 5100s in the front in the mean time until I can get the 6112s and then sell the 5100s to someone else (unless I use them until end of life)

Called my local shop who does a lot of work on 4runners and they said I needed to get a rear spacer in the rear with the 5160s because the OE spring will come loose since I'm not lifting the front more than 2". Is this true? Those who put the 5160s in the rear usually use the OE spring and unless I missed something. Should I just get a longer spring and go higher in the front?

The truck is 95% on road use with the occasional off road/camping trip and i don't plan on going on bigger tires with today's fuel prices. Currently on 265s on 17 wheels. Wife also drives this so she needs to be able to get in without too much difficulty.

Both 5100's and 5160's show 0-2" lift height. I can't confirm 100% the stock rear springs wouldn't fall out, but I highly doubt it. When I replaced my rear springs that had 1.25" spacers, I had to disconnect panhard, remove swaybar, and use a second jack to article one side enough to droop the other out enough to get them out. I think you'd be just fine.

Also, I had XREAS and removed it myself. Best way to do it is here (4th and 5th gen are the same XREAS system): X-REAS Suspension Delete From 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner - YouTube
