Thanks for the write ups and ideas. I am installing the WT in-channel tomorrow on our 2017 Limited. I had them on an Acura TL 4-door, and saw the same things brought up about the rears installation. I have had AVS on my Yukon for over 20 years, but the backs use a bracket and screw, not tape. The bracket goes under the weatherstrip, and the visor screws to it on the rear windows. Fronts are same as all the others; flex and snap in place.

Will let you know how it goes.

I have WT in-channels on my 16 Trail. Once the provided double-sided tape wears, the rears will droop. I caught them before I lost them. I have them sitting on a shelf waiting for an application of Gorilla tape. The rear part of the fronts moves inside the channel with the window down at highway speeds, which creates an annoying noise. I suppose an application of tape there should help with that. There is wind noise, but I don't recall it ever being silent with the windows down, deflectors or no. They do play nicely with the pinch protection. Overall I'm happy with them.

Installed the WT in-channel this morning (2017 Limited pearl white). Very simple; even an Alaskan can do it. Took 20 minutes once they were out of the box. Hardest thing was pushing the start button just right to get the power to the windows and not start the truck, so I could go around to each window while testing. My real use is to crack the windows a little when parked in 22-hour sunlight. Probably wont open them when driving.

Notes

1. Fronts go in very easily. The furthest back vertical edge is initially a tight fit. I used a kitchen spatula to push it outwards. Two or three times up and down, and they work fine and do not trigger the auto-stop on the windows.

2. Backs go in easily. Wipe the channel with a cleaner (alcohol pad), and it will come out black and dirty. It is not felt, it is rubber, so adhesion should be good. I added a small strip of thin double sided tape to the edge that has none. Duct brand blue double sided duct tape, trim to fit. After the tape sets for a day, I will test them a few times to see if they pull out or trigger the auto stop.

3. On all four windows, roll them up half way and clean the top edges. We live on a dirt road, and the windows look clean, but the top 1/2 inch was brown.

4. All four make a cracking sound the first time. I pulled them back out and saw no cracks or chips, just the sound once.

5. I think the edge that goes in the channel should be shorter, so that there is no gap at all where the top meets the rubber. There is just a little bit between the top curve of the vent and the rubber trim (1/8 inch), but the visors are all the way up.

6. Everything went smoothly while testing at 60 degrees. We'll see how they function when hot and when below zero.

7. Shipping costs to Alaska stink...but it got here in two days (cheapest option).

I also have in channel weather tech windows visors. I’ve ran them on all my vehicles and never had any problems. Only issue that has came up is that fact that newer vehicles, such as the 4r have a object detector. The window thinks a finger or object is stuck in the channel, which there is obviously, that causes the window to roll back down when you auto roll it back up. Not really an issue just an annoyance.

I prefer in channel weather techs over any other brand, their reputable and cheap, at least for me. My work orders direct so I pay less than $60 for the set front and rear. Also have weathertech floor liners.

Odd...my weather in channel run extremely quiet and also no creaks. they are snug as a bug in the channels and currently driving down the Oregon coast with no issues and also no issues on i5 hwy. Have you tried reinstalling them?
