Backup camera does not show warning lines

Hello,
My backup camera does not have warning green or red lines. Please see the attached pic. I already checked the settings and tried updating Entune to the latest version but still nothing. Mine is a 2013 Limited.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I have a 2013 and mine doesn't show lines either. I don't think our MY have that ability.

Mine never had lines. 2012 Trail.

Switched to an aftermarket headunit with a Maestro setup and it works fantastic!

I believe that 2010 to 2013 4Runner models with the navigation screen do not show these warning lines as the 2014+ models do.

Our 2013 SR5 does not have warning lines either. Camera is pretty much useless anyway. Image is washed out on a bright day and there is not enough light for a good image at night.

This is correct. Backup lines are not present in any 10-13 models from the factory.

They don't come with lines on these years. You also shouldn't need lines, that's what your mirrors are for.

Not to highjack, but has anyone figured out how to turn off the lines on the 2014+ years? I have aftermarket head unit with Maestro and it overlays dynamic lines over the image and the factory lines. I'd really rather shut off the factory lines all together.

chances are the lines are built into the camera. you'd have to turn off the lines on your head unit.

Yet in the 2013 printed version of my manual it clearly shows the lines and actually has them labeled with descriptors for both the Nav screen and rear view mirror, all but two of the six or so references to it show them. When I bought the truck I took it back in and inquired. "Oh no this MY doesn't have that" Which IMO is kinda fkn stupid but whatever.

Toyota part numbers are different for models years with and without it. So if one wanted to gamble I bet buying a 2014+ camera would have them enabled.

But it shows your bumper...isn't that all you need?

What aftermarket unit did you use? Do you think it would work on a 2011 T4R Limited?

I used a Kenwood. Any aftermarket headunit would work as long as it has the Maestro integration.

Just have to make sure you enter in the right type of radio you have into Crutchfield and it will point you in the direction of what you need. Then take the part number and buy them off Amazon for cheaper

Only thing Crutchfield forgot to mention was the antenna adapter.

Also hardest part was splicing into the backup camera wires on the original harness.
