Driver rear missing foot A/C vent?

Hello all,

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I didn’t find the question to my answer.

I’ve owned my 4runner for a couple years and recently discovered that the driver rear foot A/C vent is non-existent, but the passenger rear has one. All other vehicles I’ve owned had both driver and passenger rear foot vents.

Does anyone know why Toyota placed a foot vent for the right only?

What year is your 4Runner? I believe all 5th Gen, 2010+, have foot vents under both front seats, regardless of trim level.

Driver rear missing foot A/C vent?

Hello all,

2017 TRD pro

I checked again this morning to see if vents exist. I turned on the fan full blast to feel for any air venting. Nothing. Looked carefully again and tried to feel for any air blowing anywhere.

Turns out the floor liner was installed over the air vents for the left rear, so I went ahead and adjusted it. Tucked the carpet under the vents and now everything works fine.

Thanks ya’ll
