Depending on when I get the parts I may not post anything on it until I get back from vacation next week.

3M automotive tape!! The stuff that goes behind the emblems. Easy and removable, and very very sturdy.

Modded 67 Designs Phone Mount

Okay back from vacation.

I picked up the parts and mounted it to my new stereo surround. VERY pleased! I initially ordered the 67 Design phone holder, arms, etc and was not happy with the mounting option I had planned. But super bummed because the quality and designs of their product was so good.

I bought the Scoshe mount and really loved the location, but was just okay with the function. I found myself fussing with it a lot, then heat impact its holding. But for the ease of mounting, price, and function it is hard to beat. But it lead me back to figuring out how to mount the 67 phone mount somehow. This is my solution.

I designed a button to eliminate the arm from 67 all together. This allows the same location as the Schoshe.
-Heads up (safer, easier to use phone, I use a phone app for my radar so it is great for that, etc.

Right now I 3D printed them, and had to buy 5. The other 4 are spoken for. I will be posting a new thread on this once I install my head unit. Then if there is interest for 35 units I have a shop lined up to CNC lathe them, but they will be a little more money since I have to pay for programming at first.

1. Printed parts
2. Hit it with a black Sharpie a couple times (3D printed parts typically soak up dyes and ink really well) I would not paint these for tolerances issues, wear, etc.
3. Applied a 3M double sided foam tape doughnut.
4. Stuck it my preferred location
5. Then drill the hole
6. Attached with SS hardware

I think I won't have any internal clearance issues, we will see. It is pretty low profile.

Here are the first photos.

Not a perfect photo, but you can see it here.

I don't see a photo. Can you post one and also send some links to what you're describing here?

Here's my current setup. Didn't want to drill any holes.

Ram mount on the flat spot above the radio. I had to drill a couple of holes in the plastic, but really no big deal. Very clean and functional mount solution. Phone is not blocked by the steering wheel, doesn’t block the vent, I can see the radio screen and the clock.

ProClip.
Clean install, takes two seconds to add or remove, very stable with zero vibrations.
