Can you please repost the picture? Did you tape the track in the tray in front of the clock then use the ram ball to hold the arm and phone holder? How is it holding up?

RAM mounts, properly installed, are bombproof.

I then went back to the Scosche mount but put it on the side and for me it's the perfect place for both vertical and horizontal display and doesn't block anything. Best is no holes to mount it.

My vote goes for the Scosche Magic Mount MAGDMB mounted just like this. Hard to beat in my opinion! No drilling holes, doesn't look unsightly, holds tight, etc. If you're looking to mount an iPad, you'll probably be disappointed, but for every phone I've used it with has worked great.

After trying out a few different options, Tackform makes the best phone holders IMO. I wanted something that would be sturdy but also one handed use and not too big.

I used the Tackform 1" Phone Holder. With a Ram mount base and Ram mount arm. All of this can be bought on amazon, it was $50 total.

The tackform stuff is very high quality. They are basically the same as the 67 Designs, but with many more mounts and accessories. I went with the Ram Mount for the base and arm for three reasons, 1. because they are composite, so the color matches the interior better, wont scratch, and wont get hot. 2. I trust the bolt mount vs tape or adhesive. 3 they are very universal just in case you change your mind down the road.

I bought this cell phone from Amazon and I really like how it's mounted. It snaps right onto the emergency button frame. Doesn't block the ac vent or the screen and it's pretty much centered. I rarely use the emergency button so it doesn't bother me.

Amazon link to cell mount!

Stop drilling holes and sticking stuff to your dash. Get a Panavise mount.

So I stumbled upon this mount:

Gemini Phone Mount for 1984-2018 Toyota 4Runner

Asked the support if I can have another phone holder instead of the magnet and they made this for me:

They have instructions on the site but it goes into the empty switch button slot.
No drilling or adhesives required.

Should have it next week

Okay. Okay. I think you found the perfect mount. I thought my CD mount was good. God bless the inventor.

Love the Ram Mounts for the tablet and Galaxy phone. Super sturdy! Scosche magnetic mounts for the work iPhone (showing the Waze screen) and the iPod (acts as a screen for the camera on the dash). I closed the vent so as not to freeze/heat the phone.
