What do you do with your OEM wheels?
I just got some aftermarket wheels to replace the poorly spray painted OEM ones that came on it.
So, like the title says, when you replaced your OEM wheels, what did you do with them? Sell them on Craig's List or FB Market Place? Stuff them in a corner? Recycle them?
I see plenty of sets listed ll the time and I'm curious if these things ever actually sell. I'm thinkin about posting them up for free. I don't think they'll sell for anything due to the crap "paint job".

These are what I went with. 17x8.5 -6, they look killer IMHO.

I picked up a single TRD Off-Road wheel on E-Bay so I could put the spare on the same type of wheel and hang that on the rear bumper. Others may be looking to do the same, so be open to selling the wheels as singles rather than a set of four.

Hub Cap Heaven will buy used wheels. They refurbish them for resale. I sold a set of wheels from my VW to them.

its a niche market for used OEM wheels and very little interest. When I bought ours in 2017 I ended up buying the trd pro black wheels at about $115 each during a sale and sold the OEM set around $400. I had only one person interested and he was planning on using them for a gx460.

Sell them for ~$100 each in new or near new condition - yours maybe $20 pending on how bad it is.
Some of us (.....maybe only a few) love the stock wheels - I have 4 sets for summer and winter tires for our 4runners and the summer set on mine is absolutely beat to hell, rock rash all over them but they have always protected the valve stem, held up amazing well and no leaks.
Someone will take them for free vs trashing them as a worst case

Sold my 2021 ORP wheels and OEM tires with about 3800 miles on them to a fellow forum member for $500.
I saw a Lexus GX with the ORP wheels a while later, so there is a market for them, just be realistic in what you ask.
I replaced mine with OEM TRD Pro wheels and Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws in 265/70/17. Looks great and minimal road noise after about 4k miles and a trip to Sedona with an off road trail (Outlaw Trail).

sold my OEM 20s with tires and sensors, including spare, for $1K. more of a market up here in canada because people want a matching or second set for winters. it did take me about 1.5 months though to find a buyer. used kijiji

I bought a set of used ORP wheels and tires that we are running currently. Highway tires and all wheel vibration at 60-62 mph is gone. Been through 3 sets of Cooper AT3s, road force balance mostly eliminated the vibration, but never completely. I'm to the point of using the old snowflake wheels for highway tires on the road and the ORP with ATs for offroad and winter driving.

If I upgrade to 22”, my 20” nightshade wheels will be worth more to me than anyone else. Keeping them.
