Just installed one on a good friend of mines truck. Sounds really good, reminds of the TRD exhaust on the Tacomas. Looks really nice, too, I actually thought the TRD logo would be in the side of the tip, but it's actually on the top. I think the picture in this thread is of the exhaust on the Tacoma. Only thing I don't understand is why they decided to use a muffler that has dual inlet and outlets when they could've used a single in and out. At first we thought it was for optional dual exhaust, but after installing we realized there's no room the way it's designed. Overall, he's happy with it. Butt Dyno says it feels more responsive and torqey. The sound now matches the look

Also, forgot to mention that we did the TRD intake, and exhaust together, so that's probably why we feel more of a difference on the butt dyno

Interesting, did you have a cost with it? Or part number? Its still not even coming up as an option in Canada.

Part number is PTR03-89200. List is $850, but I was able to get employee cost. That's a good deal for us in Hawaii being we usually have to pay ridiculous shipping. I ended up paying $850 for the URD exhaust shipped. Sucks

Whoa, looks like URD prices went up. Their exhaust is now listed for $649 before shipping. I swear it was in the $500 range before. I guess that means it would now cost close to $1000 shipped for us in Hawaii

Lol what the hell? That is the strangest use of a dual exhaust muffler I've ever seen!

Any chance you can upload some inside/outside videos?

The black tip is strange to me... oh well.

I thought it would be different at first, but it actually looks pretty nice. Something different than the usual flat black tips, and I like the embossed TRD logo. I asked my friend to send me video clips, so I'll share it when I get something. It's pretty quiet inside with the windows up. You can hear and feel the deep rumble from under the truck, but doesn't drone. Sounds pretty aggressive with the windows down. Reminds me of the old TRD exhaust on the gen1 1GRFE in the Tacomas, but a little quieter, and smoother

Got mine today and thought same darn thing. Just a guess, they are using up surplus stock. Probably cost them more in labor to weld it shut

Like i said on the other forum. Looks like it hangs low and looks cheesy with that dainty little tip. Do they have one that exits in the stock location?

Wanted to ask, I notice the rear piece does not have welded nuts and I need to pick up some bolts. any other surprises during install or is it a direct bolt on and everything lines up? Thanks!

Yea, no weld in bolts. The exhaust kit comes with new nut and bolts for the tail pipe section, along with a gasket. The ypipe - cat back gasket was reused with no issues

Order placed. Pretty excited for this!

Was it an easy install? Everything line up properly? Or better off bringing it to a shop?

Just curious...but am I the only one who prefers the stock "out the back" tailpipe location than out the side? To me, out the side seems to be more venerable to off road damage.

Nope, side exit looks way to low for my liking.
