VLEDS V6 Triton

Has any 5th gen owners installed the V6 Triton 6K switchback? I’m debating if the ~$160 price tag is worth what you’re getting or if there’s a cheaper alternative you guys used.

I only found a 4th gen thread, but it should give you a good idea of the set up.

DRL and Turn Signal Mods.

I used the non switchback in my Tacoma and they were bright as hell. My buddy runs the switchback style on his Tacoma and they work really well. I want to run front and rear on my Runner but haven't pulled the trigger. Too bad the DTRLs are the high beams instead of the front turn signal lights.

There's cheaper alternatives for sure but for me it was worth the price.

I ran them. I found out about them before they were released so I was able to get a good deal on a "Pre-Order."

I couldn't get the switchback to work however.

For the most part everything worked great except for one situation. If I drove with the parking lights on, the switchback would flash quickly. If I had no lights on or if I had my headlights on they worked perfectly. I attempted, albeit quickly, to add a resistor and it still occurred.

It was frustrating and I couldn't figure out how to bypass that issue.

I eventually took them out and replaced them with normal bulbs.

I ran these in my 2012 Tacoma, and they only lasted less than 2 years. One of them died, and the other one had the clear lens fall off.

Did you get them? I am considering them as well, but having trouble justifying the price for 2 bulbs lol...
Love the idea of being able to run “white” drl’s in my 13’
