I had to just now double checked mine to be sure.
It locks the doors 3 times and starts.....
When I grab the handle to open the door, it's still locked.

Thank you for checking nglayton. I must have a buggy unit. I press lock on the keyfob 3 times and all my doors unlock, then the vehicle starts, then the doors return to the locked position.
I’ve contacted accessorides about my issue. I’m waiting for a reply. I’ll post back when there’s news.

I got an email back today. Accessorides were really quick about responding. Basically I was told that the vehicle is supposed to unlock to bypass the alarm system. I suppose everything is working fine. I guess just don’t be alarmed to find that your whip unlocks for a few seconds before it starts.

So it's locking 3 times, unlocking (to bypass alarm) starting, then relocking?
I admit, I didn't watch that with an eagle eye when I tested it. As I was walking out to check it, I wasn't that close to it. I just heard 3 unlocks, cranking and when I grabbed the handle it was locked still. (or again, I guess, from your explanation)
In order to be an issue, you would have to yank it open while its cranking?
Seems like that should prematurely wear out a few lock actuators......knock on wood.

Hey for anyone wanting to buy one they have a good sale going on right now (175) and my capital one/wiki buy alerted me to the promo code STIMUL8 which is another 25 dollars off. If anything you can now use the express shipping for 14 dollars and still get a decent discount on price. just thought I'd share that for anyone who was on the fence because of the cost.

I've had mind for about 10 months, no issues. I live where it gets down to -40 in the winter and this thing works. Obviously I have a great battery. If you can get this, especially on sale, go for it.

Does anyone know if this will work when you are in the vehicle? i.e. camping and starting the truck when cold from the back of the vehicle at night

My 12V.Solutions one does all this. I think they are both really comparable, I've got no skin in the game either way.
Install was completely plug and play, it took about 25-30 minutes. It doesn't shut off unless you hit the brake pedal without turning the ignition.
