So I went with Llumar CTX30 in the front and CTX40 in the rear.

It is perfect for me since I didn’t want it too dark so we wouldn’t have trouble seeing at night. My husband’s night vision is not the best so I took that into consideration.

From the outside, you can still see through the back only depending on what angle you are viewing the car at.

Today, it’s 96 degrees here and I could tell an immediate difference in the interior temp and could see the radio display much better.

It is perfect (for me)!

Pics attached for reference.

Great choice! It looks fantastic...

Did you have them do your moon roof or get the clear (Air 80) on the windshield? ...just curious.... because... the difference you feel in heat rejection, while substantial, will noticeably improve with treatment of those two areas.

Very happy for you... What a great looking rig.

Best,
Jason

Thanks! I did not do the windshield for two reasons. Money and there’s so much road construction on I-85 right now I had 2 chips and a crack in my last windshield so I don’t want to waste my money right now.

The sunroof did not get completed bc the guy who is 3rd party tinted for the dealership does not want to tint sunroofs. There is another 3rd party place that installs Llumar. I will stop by there and see if they will do the sunroof.

Sorry if you said already, but I can’t scroll back on my phone... what did you get installed on your sunroof?

I got Llumar 50% on the moon roof. It makes a huge difference... I can actually leave the sun shade open, most of the time now.

Just as a quick reminder for others contemplating tint - the light transmission of a tint has nothing to do with the heat/UV rejection.

You can get near clear ceramics that have better heat rejection over 5% limo tint.

Don't give up, it's not completely suspension related and, even if it was, they shouldn't be able to give you any flack since you upgrading to an OEM part!!!

Take videos of what is happening and make an appointment to speak with your dealer or the service manager.

Just be nice, explain what's going on, show the video and ask for help because it's driving you bonkers, etc.

Good luck!

Just a simple Weathertech hard plastic one I got from Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I make vinyl stickers on the side, so I made myself a 3M silver reflective TRD vinyl for it so it could be seen more easily at night.

Oh nice, on both counts. Any thoughts on the Weathertech? Hopeful in a slow speed rear ending, you think?
