Hey all. Apologies for bringing back an older thread. The search function lead me here. Just bought a '16 Trail. It's all black except for the grill and tailgate emblems and front/rear bumper valances. The pillar badges have been removed already. I'd like to black out the badges but have a hang-up on the overlays due to lack of confidence in fitment and longevity. I'm past the plasti-dip phase in my cu. I'd really like actual replacement emblems in black. I have been unable to find any so far. Does anyone know of a source or am I resigned to pulling and painting my chrome ones?

Amazon has cheap badge overlays. Toyota sells OEM ones which is what I used. I only needed the back one, so took that and sold the others. As far as the valences, you can buy them from Toyota too or wait until someone sells them here or facebook or soemthing.

Thanks. As I said, I don't want overlays, I want actual replacement emblems. Guess I'll be pulling mine, stripping the chrome and painting them.

It's all good. Any assistance is great.

Next question, do the "4RUNNER" letters (and #) on the tailgate have locating pins? Basically, if I remove it will there be holes?

Ultimately trying to decide if I want to just delete it or not and gauging how much of a PITA it will be to put back straight after it's stripped and painted.

Off Road Emblem Measurements

Hello,

Im new to the forums, just got a 2020 4runner venture. I was hoping one of yall could do me a huge favor??
I just ordered the TRD off road badges for the sides, and need someone to give me some measurements on where to place them? I cant find anything anywhere that shows where to put them. A point of reference and measurements from there would be extremely helpful!

Thank you!

Toyota 4Runner tailgate letter

I bought the 4Runner tailgate letter from Jhazeauto. These badge are so easy to put on. It was the perfect match for our truck, and easy to install. Turned out better than expected.

Why do people want these badges? The first thing I did when I got my 4Runner was peel those stupid things off.
