Just dropped of the 4Runner at the dealer and left in a rental.
Well, the saga continues. The radio is shot who't connect to to bluetooth, and shuts down and doesn't power back on, and they are still trying to figure out why the steering wheel shakes violently at 60 and above. They were telling me that I might want to contact Toyota HQ and file a claim i might have gotten a lemon. I am kind of upset. My wife was aready at the Jeep dealer looking at the wranglers. I am sad that they won't be able to fix it. I have a lift sitting in the garage, and was planning on getting UCA's and some tires along with some some sliders and a bumper. I am now in limbo waiting. Anyone go through this with a brand new car?

What Toyota considers a lemon Jeep considers it good enough...
Good luck, hope they take care of you and get it taken care of.

Did the steering shake just start right out of the blue or was it after a mod of some type ?

It did it from the get go. I have been taking it to the dealer every friday since April. I said they could keep it and get me a voodoo blue trd pro. or jist give me the trd wheels and tires and we can see what happens. The radio is supposed to be going in today. I guess happy 10k miles to me, but hey I at least have a 2018 Camry in the driveway.

My radio shuts off too, but I have a sub wired in. They would just blame that...

You should make them put one of the new 2020 radios in

Use all the stuff you have sitting in the garage on the new 4runner. It's not a reliability issue and they will make it right. However, if you want to get a Fiat and deal with real issues reliability issues and be told to fly a kite have at it.

There are quite a few here who have dealt with steering vibration issues, myself included. It seems the steering is sensitive to the slightest vibrations. My fix came when a 4Runner centric off-road shop spent 6 hours balancing my stock tires. Now, the only time I get any shake is when starting out after not driving it for a few days; likely the tires flat spotting. After I drive it for 15-20 minutes it tends to go away.
Regarding the Jeep Wrangler...
I've never owned one, but I've rented one JK Sport and two JL Saharas to date during trips and vacations. In total, I've spend about a month driving them. I love the open air feeling when you have the soft top down or the Freedom panels out, but there is no way I would buy one. They wonder all over the highway and creak and rattle going down the road. In my experience, they are nowhere near as comfortable as my 4Runner either. The 4Runner has better seats, is more spacious, and has a better seating position.
To top it off, the JL build quality issues are atrocious. Go spend some time on the JL forum. They have an ongoing, user contributed list of over 100 items to check before taking delivery. The list is from other users receiving their JLs with those issues. We are not talking minor or trivial issues either. Having a problem with the head unit in a 4Runner sucks, but there are JL owners dealing with bad frame welds and traction bars shearing off.
I'll continue to rent Wranglers when available because they are a lot of fun, but as I said, there is no way I would own one.

Yeah, it sucks.
I’ve been on the phone with Toyota 3x today.
Regional is very helpful and they are ready to replace it, but the National people were a bit more apprehensive.
I can’t blame them, they have to verify everything with the Regional people and will get back to me in 1-2 business days.
So it seems that even though I have been told they will replace it, it’s not so simple.
They National guy even threw out if I had to file a lemon law claim. Let’s just says they don’t want me to take that route.
Hopefully everything will move smoothly once he verifies everything with the regional guys.
Ugh. I just want to be in a Pro and for this to be OVER.

Get a wrangler, the 4Runner has rejected you as an owner.
I am sure someone will buy the parts you purchased.
