Im running these under my seats.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
No issues at all with clearance and no mods needed except removing the foot vent deal
Sound is pretty good considering the line input and the small space.
It is in no way a replacement for a full amp/sub combo.

I would go with the Alpine, I had it all picked out before I went with my JL in the stock speaker box. If I couldn't fit the stock sub box I definitely would have done the Alpine

I have a Kenwood powered sub under my drivers seat and then added Focal ISS690 speakers in the front doors/dash. That was a huge improvement from stock.
Last month I installed the Kicker Key 180.4 amp under the drivers seat with the sub. That proved to be the difference maker. If you are going to add the sub I highly recommend adding the amp for the speakers too if you haven't done so already - made a huge difference for the speakers and the overall sound quality.
It's a bit tight under the seat but it can fit.
Take a look at this thread regarding installing the powered sub - it proved very useful for me.

It completely covers the heat vent now?

Covers, not exactly. Air can still flow.
Once you remove the "end" the vent terminates in front of the sub.
I can try to grab a pic later.

This is very helpful, thanks. From your alpine I can see the dimensions, so now I know what fits.
My 'full' amp/sub combo is not a very powerful one. I mis-typed above, I currently have an 8" micro-sub from JL audio powered by a 120W mono JL Audio e1200 amp. While it's amp/sub combo, it's not anything to write home about.

So you have the Kenwood powered sub AND the Kicker Key amp under the same seat? What model sub is that?
I already have a 4 channel rockford fosgate amp under the driver seat powering all the speakers, which are not stock speakers.

That is fancy, and it looks like that will "hang" the sub so it clears the vent.
As a pro tip, velcro sticks to the carpet.

Glad to help.
I see, yes in comparison to the micro sub I think you will be happy with these, I wired into the rear channels so that along with the EQ I can tune the sound more front for less bass.
On that Alpine model, there is also a bass knob option that I am not using as well as HP/LP filter knobs.

I have a Pioneer powered sub under the passenger seat. It seems to provide all the bass I really wanted, and doesn't restrict the air vent in any way. As an FYI, there is a detailed installation procedure in the Modification sticky above, entitled Subwoofer Install.

Anyone have any experience with this one? Cerwin Vega is an established brand, and this seems to be the only 10" powered sub I can find that has the dimensions of the Alpine one that
@ Heavy_GD
has
Cerwin Vega VPAS10 550W 10" Low Profile Amplified Subwoofer
It is listed as the #1 out of 17 powered subs reviewed here:
