Follow-up: Got it all tightened up this afternoon with a little help from my wife. Loosened the front brackets, which I kept on top of the rubber channel guards.. Loosened the center mounts so the rack would flex upwards. Pulled each side upwards at the front until we could get a finger underneath it, then marked the front bracket. Same on the other side, then removed the front bracket and tightened each side at the marks. Reinstalled the front, lifting the sides as required. Tightened the center mounts, which put pressure on the front and got it very tight. I now see why the front mounts are two piece construction - it lets it get tighter, with full contact against the sloping forward section of the roof.
Worked far better with a partner rather than solo in the driveway racing against a setting sun.
Very happy overall.

Glad to hear you got everything tight! They are definitely not the easiest to set up but once they are, you should never have to touch them again.

With cabin fever affecting everyone at the moment, what better time to pick up a roof rack or drawer system to kick off a summer of adventures. We are running a 12% off stimulus sale on all of our products. The savings are auto-applied at checkout. If you know us, you know we do not run sales often, so don't miss out on this opportunity to save some valuable cash!
This being said, we are still on a statewide stay at home order here in Colorado, meaning that your lead times do not start until April 27th, and this does have the possibility to be extended.
Feel free to reply, call or email us with any questions.

Well... you made my decision easy... looks like you will be taking my stimulus check. Thank you! I can't wait to get the rack!

If you order with a light bar it says you include your brackets. Is this an additional charge or no. I will add a light bar someday but don't really have the money now. If they are included and I don't have to spend 40-50 later I may jump. Also are the lights 12% off as well if purchased with the rack?

Currently, we include the brackets half off! The total order if it is included is 12% off yes. So you could think of it as being applied to the lightbar.

Got an answer in email:
The two sizes are for different widths of rack. Crestone = large.
Rotopax = 1, maxtrax = 2, so if you want to throw both up there, you need 3.
---------------------------------
Hey Sherpa Guys. I'm about to order and I wanted to get an Adapt plate(s) but I don't understand the sizing and it's not super clear from your page (pictures or text).
I'd like to stick a couple of rotopax (gas) on top and some maxtrax.
Is that one, two, or three plates and does size matter? Thx.

Traction Board Mounts
I wanted to share with everyone our new Traction Board Mounts.
Designed to work with MaxTrax, ActionTrax, and TRED traction board devices, they allow for easy mounting both parallel and perpendicular to the crossbars.
