Good looking rack, seems like quality build, and very functional.

I have a general rack question. All the racks I see have a flat straight fairing. Seems like a curve (not a cut) to match the windshield line would be more aerodynamic and look like and extension of the roof.

Is there a reason that they is not curved?

Very nice! Do you know if this would work for the Southern Style Offroad rack in a vertical position (mounting boards parallel to length of 4Runner)? The main drawback to their rack is the crossbars are not adjustable, but I've been looking for a solution like this for a while.

Designed to work with MaxTrax, ActionTrax, and TRED traction board devices, they allow for easy mounting both parallel and perpendicular to the crossbars.

To do it parallel to the vehicle would be hard if the crossbars are not adjustable and the spacing is not right, but perpendicular how it is shown here these should work no problem. That is assuming they use 10 series extrusion that is 2"x1". If they use different crossbars with different track spacing you may only be able to utilize two of the bolt holes.

We could easily add a curve to the fairing. Personally we think flat just looks the best and is the most functional, it is also much easier to ship on top of one less step during the manufacturing process.

Ah thanks! Yes they use the 10 series... it's 3"x1" but I'm not sure why that wouldn't work.

Hey Sherpa guys ... any thoughts on how this would mount on your rack? Just strap underneath the cross bars?
