Has anyone mounted a thule box on the sherpa with their newer style quick grip system? It SEEMS like the jaws should clamp on, but I've also heard issues with square crossbars? Would hope it could both firmly clamp on AND not hit the roof.

We wanted to keep the modularity of the extrusion accessible to the user. We have made it so all of our extrusion has the tracks exposed so you can utilize the exterior of your drawer module to mount accessories and organize more of your gear. Are they similar products, sure, but we pushed to have a more versatile option for those that want it. Goose gear does however make a fantastic product offering.

Here is a customer of ours who has mounted a cool bit of accessories to his drawers and his baseplate.

Or, here is another way someone utilized the open extrusions.

I probably took this and ran, but I wanted to show that we are not just trying to out price Goosegear. We pride ourselves in making high quality products and we make them affordable where we can. But, we also do not cut corners, we try to make superior products and we are always working to do so. We wont make something unless we know we can make it better or more useful. Being able to utilize the exterior space on a drawer was a must.
What molle plates are those?

GREATLY appreciate it!

Also, which thule box is it that you mounted? With the full rack you're able to go with a bigger box since easier to mount in a forward position vs stock. Temptingggg

Here you go. Sorry the pictures are so dark, the daylight is so short now. It is an Ascent 1100

Hi guys: I'm a fan of your designs and mounting approach and as your neighbor a few miles south would be happy to support a local business. Any chance you're planning to offer (or can make to order) a half rack similar to your Antero model (3d gen compatible) to put on a 2021 4Runner? I don't really need a full one, and prefer the look of a half-rack anyway, so if a 5th gen half rack was available, I'd be ready to order one.

Sent a message via your website as well...

Their website says: "*Maxtrax mounting requires the use of two Adapt Plates."

Assuming you stack 4 on top of each other then two I guess.

Is there a diagram somewhere showing the spacing of the mount points on the base plate?

I see in the Base Plate installation video that there is a fridge slide (looks like from Dometic) mounted. I have a slide already but I can't tell from the pictures if the holes on the slide will line up with those on the base plate.

Drill new holes and add some T-nuts. Easy.

We do not have any current plans for a half rack for the 5th gen, but, I won't say we will never do it as it may be something we do down the road!

Youll just need a single set of our Traction Board Mounts and some Maxtrax Pins all which can be bought as a set if you order your Maxtrax from us.

We have them setup specific to our drawers but as stated, you can simply drill new holes and install t-nuts to accommodate any spacing that your slide requires.

Received my shipping notice today for the Crestone rack! Looks like I’ll have an install project for next weekend.
