Another LED thread / question ?

Ok, I read most of the lighting threads out here....
and it left me with a headache...

I'd like to upgrade the headlights, but i'm leaning against HIDs because i do not want to drill the dust caps.

so.. I'll state the obvious:
It appears that the XD LED kit for low beams fits with out any issues or dust cap modifications.... (i think)

now on to some of the others....
Nineo - does it fit and can you hear the fan (if the radio is off)?
https://www.amazon.com/NINEO-Headlig...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

the Cougar Motors LED kit, does it fit and can you hear the fan (if the radio is off)?
https://www.amazon.com/Cougar-Motor-...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

the Cougar Motors fanless kit (if i'm correct this DOES not fit)
https://www.amazon.com/Cougar-Motor-...dDbGljaz10cnVl

KATANA - does it fit and can you hear the fan (if the radio is off)?
https://www.amazon.com/KATANA-Headli...gateway&sr=8-8

Morimoto 2stroke - does it fit and can you hear the fan (if the radio is off)?
https://www.amazon.com/H11-LED-Morim...ustomerReviews

are there any others i should look at?, and how do you get the LEDs in the correct position?

thanks in advance

Haha why not just pose the same question once in correlation to all the potential lights? And does the radio matter if the car is running?

I am also on the hunt and can say that from what I have read the fan noise is only relevant when the vehicle is not running. I have tried a few brands and Hikari's are decent with an adjustable base and 2 year warranty. It sounds like the Morimoto's do not have an adjustable base, although a few posts state that it is possible. They seem to have a large following on the forum despite their pedestrian reviews online.

The base of the LED assembly can only be inserted one way, as the three prongs are different sizes. Its a simple insert and twist. I have not had any luck with the kits that do not allow for adjustment once locked into place.

Pretty sure you have to drill the caps for both kits. Just get extra caps from the dealer.

There’s a set of Morimoto 2stroke 2.0 in the clearance section on the retrofit source’s page. I returned them because the bulb housing spun upon install instead of the quarter turn required to lock in place in the projector housing. I think they are $70. I would swap the supplied housing gaskets with the gaskets from your halogens, should sold the quarter turn problem.

I’ve got the opt 7 fluxbeam v2. It’s comes as a kit. I was able to place everything along side the inside of the housing and put the cap on with no issues. They are nice and bright.

Thanks... do you find them a 'noticeable' improvement over stock ?

I run the Morimoto 2strike 2.0s and I didn't have to cut anything. The only way I can here the fan is with my head near the light. Way brighter than stock. Still don't have an option for high beam that I'm willing to pay for though. Most of them either flicker on DRL or run full high beam all the time.

Not exactly related to the ones you've listed, but I got this set for my '13 SR5 (not sure if they'd work in newer models - sorry), and they're ridiculously bright for $40. Will see how long they hold up.

Not a fan of HIDs - have had them in multiple other vehicles and I hate the warm-up time...

A replacement headlight dust cap is $12, so don't worry about drilling through it.

HID is better than LED

Agreed, I love my Morimoto HID's in the stock housing.

From your LED options, the Morimoto 2 Strokes are by far the best in the options you listed
