Are you going to make more with the footage you were teasing at the end? That's the kind of stuff I wanna see!

Yeah I just need to get out more. I was supposed to leave 3 days ago on a 3 month trip but that was obviously changed. Just finished most of the work, after a few interior tweaks and regear it's basically finished.

35s are on

They're a badass tire. May pick up their Grabber A/T X on a different set of wheels for the longer trips because those things are the bee's knees.

Finally got the new rooftop tent in and absolutely love it. It's an Autohome Air Top 360. They're made in Italy and this one was leaving port back in Feb when it got turned around and quarantined. This one has eight windows with some privacy screening that allows full view from the inside but very dark from the outside. I made some custom spacer brackets out of 3/4" steel square tubing to give it enough space to clear the rear chase bar and allow the ARB awning to mount but still appear flush. Came out perfectly. Working remote next week in the Eastern Sierra most likely and seeing how comfortable/productive I'll be. Can't wait!

I decided to hang up the towel for now and sold it, and I just picked up the new beauty yesterday. 2019 Off Road Premium, no KDSS. I have ideas for a new 3rd gen build, but in the meantime want to build this up into a nice mild blend of capability, comfort and long trip worthiness.

I've anticipated this for a while, so thankfully I got the ball rolling on the Nox Vidmate VLC long lead time items. My goal is to have the first phase of the build wrapped up within 8 weeks. I'll be making a road trip towards the end of September visiting a few companies around the Western US and building as I go, so we'll be rolling back into San Diego with a new look.

Immediate upgrades:
- Magnuson supercharger
- Toytec Suspension
- General Grabber X3 285s
- Still deciding on wheels
- Gobi stealth rack/ladder
- CBI front + rear bumpers, winch, sliders, skid set
- Optima/National Luna dual battery system

Transferring from previous build
- ARB drawer system
- ARB fridge
- ARB 2000 awning + room
- Autohome Columbus rtt

Trying to decide where I should mount the dual battery controller in cab. On the 3rd gen i had it below the steering wheel and it was perfect. Hope to find a similar factory-looking place to install.

Here are a few shots of the 2000 I just finished

And here's the new new

Can't wait to learn more about this platform and get to work!
just picked up the exact same truck last week, non-premium though. same color/wheels and everything. really looking forward to seeing what you do with it, given how nicely you built the other one!

Added 1.25" adapters just to the fronts and got the rest of the trimming in the wheel well and bumper wings done. Heading to Utah next week for Toquerville, Arches, Moab, 3 nights on the White Rim Trail then Zion!

Amazing.

I love 4Runners to a point it borders on concerning but for this kinda money I can’t help but wonder what else you could achieve. Restored LS Swapped Bronco? LS Defender? Whippled 2021 Bronco? The po$$ibilities really get opened up with this kinda big d1ck money.

Regardless, I look forward to some video of it doing work on the upcoming trip you mentioned. Send it, and film it.
