Having taken the majority of our road trips in a Honda Odyssey, I'll admit to being spoiled by the amount of drink storage space in the front..two cup holders in the dash, another two in the center console, along with a lager holder on the door panel..I regularly carry my 32-ounce nalgene and remove the cupholder inserts like was posted above, but it would have been nice if there was just a little more room so they could fit in the door panel..

OMG!
I know they sell ice chests in Texas. Load it up, put a cold drink in a coozie, drive, drink water or what ever, stop to pee, refill coozie. Repeat.

This is my first Toyota and the cup holders are adequate, but in the way. I wish they would just get rid of the console shift and put it on the steering column, then there'r be a lot more room for cup holders.

I've had a few "cup holders are an option" vehicles.

Here you go. From drink2go.com
I use them on the seat posts on my fishing boat, but they work in my 4Runner, too. And on my riding mower.

This is a big step up from the 1986 Subaru GL wagon I used on the Outer Banks beaches for 14 years. That thing would go anywhere in the sand on 185/70-13 tires. Dual range 5 speed, factory skid plate, 3 position manually adjustable rear shocks and armored exhaust. All factory, including the white spoke wheels. The front sub frame finally rusted apart.
