I like the steering wheel mounting. Perfect for applying your hot drink directly to your penis.

Lol

It's 112 miles through the bush, one way, for milk and bread for us. Often when it's below -30.
I make the person in the passenger seat hold the big vacuum thermos and pour my coffees.
I suppose an aftermarket solution where coffees held themselves to the truck in a manner somewhat improved in comparison to how the built in Limited Trim holders manage to do the job would be nice.
At least for the passenger.

Swigzy. I think they are about $30 on Amazon. Stick it in the cup holder and twist until snug. Fits my 40 ounce hydro flask no problem.

I'm probably the only person I know who is happy with the cup holders? I have 3 water bottles in each door and the center console Fits my Contigo coffee and Nalgene perfectly. I also don't put garbage or anything else in the doors since I have a custom garbage can sitting on the transmission tunnel.

Got a lot of laughs with this thread, also some nostaligia with those chincy clip ons regularly used decades ago.

As for me, I have no issue with my number of spots to put a cup, can or water bottle. Just the staggered location in the console. I keep my insulated travel mug for coffee in the forward compartment if my wife is with me. Fits fine and doesn’t block the cubby, but is a bit of a stretch to reach on the road. Otherwise, I always keep a bottle of water in the door pocket.

Ditto this pretty much. 2 water bottles in passenger door, 2 normal console cupholders, then I still have the drivers door. And if things get really crazy with drinks like I'm bringing coffee back for the girls and also have one myself, I just flip down the rear center armrest and stick them there. I have long arms so it's a short reach.

I forgot about the middle seat, I have little kids so their seats have 2 cup holders each.

Man I used to have a 97 with the pull-out cupholder from the dash. I feel spoiled rotten in a 5th gen.

Etsy 3D printed cup holder inserts

MawnDesign on Etsy is selling 3D printed inserts to replace the 5th gen front rubber inserts. They’re hard plastic and sized for Yeti mugs so supposedly won’t stick to the Yeti when you pick it up.

$33 for the set. I ordered a set today and will repost when I get them to report on whether they’re worth the money.

If they work, seems like a pretty cheap mod to fix a super annoying problem.

Perfect cup holder!

I wanted to share after looking for cup holder inserts for my 2017 4Runner, and I found them on Etsy!! You pick the color! Because they are 3D printed, they fit perfectly and do not stick to your cup. I highly recommend it! The vendor is MawnDesign. I attached pictures of them.

Having the opposite issue, it's too big. My large Dunkin flops around in there and splashes. Haven't seen a cupholder that doesn't have some sort of adjustable grip in it since the 80's.
