More than likely winched over, then drug/driven/steered to the first area it can be towed out

This. A skilled recovery specialist can get this back on its wheels rather easily with a vehicle winch or even a hi-lift assisted winch, especially with the anchor points around that area. Once it's rightside up it's just a matter of navigating back to more open, level area.

Yea, winched upright first but won't be easy with no trees near.

Really, it looks to be in good shape. Winch it back the same way and let it sit overnight..........drive it out in the morning!

Before and after there are spots where you could get it to and re-group. In this vid at 4:50 to about 7:40 you get a good look at the area. YouTube

Yes the driver clearly can’t drive. After doing this section my wife asked “wait was that it?” It’s honestly not a problem spot at all unless you have no experience

Been through that area before. Not a very tough area. If I had to guess (and it would be just that), I would say they tried to navigate a downward stair by coming at a sharp angle instead of letting both front wheels roll off it.

Its the type of thing that an IFS suspension does not do well, and skid plates are your friend

Looking at where he landed he went WAAY to the right up the right side. If he was on the proper line he would have been in the creek had he flipped. Where he landed he Had to have been way farther to the right and up that wall.

I agree, He probably got the passenger side, front tire going up the wall just enough, trying to stay away from the ledge on the other side.....

I had two older guys in a Jeep Wrangler, following me down last year in this same section.... I looked in the rear mirror, and they were driving up the rock wall, as their front tire got a good 1-2 feet up the wall before they realized it....Luckily they stopped, before they flipped the rig.

This particular section isn't really tippy, at all......

Now the video posted on the first page, of the FJ flipping... that particular section can be tippy if you take the wrong line.

I wonder how wide the gen 6 will be. Trucks are getting too wide and heavy and this is what happens.

Ha, it’s definitely not too wide. This looks like terrible driving.

Yup. We took a completely stock 3rd Gen Tacoma down it. We didn't have any issues, but I spotted while my buddy drove. Definitely helps if you are unsure to have some spot and make sure you are heading down the right line.

I.
That's what I thought as well. It has happened even to Wranglers on BB.

I wonder how many other trails in the area the driver had done prior to BB.

And/or any off-camber/shelf/tilted trail driving.

I am really worried about the future of that trail given the combination of popularity and accidents.

Do you know that it is possible to legally drive it uphill? But during special events only.
