Dobinsons long travel?

Anyone running this setup? Thoughts vs. the standard kit?

Love the idea of some extra articulation, but is it worth it?

Assuming you mean the "extended travel" front struts; I have them, currently with 300 springs, but have a set of 314's waiting to go on at some point now that I have some weight on the front end. I don't think they quite add the 3/4"-1" of height though, maybe somewhere in the 1/2" range? Or maybe I just had too much weight for the 300s to begin with

I can't really compare them to anything other than stock, but I can tell you that they've worked wonderfully for me thus far

Dobinsons long travel?

I am running the Dobinson's rear long travel 701v springs and shocks. Just ditched my sway bar and added extended brake lines.

The flex is every bit worth it. Makes a big difference. I've been able to run obstacles where I used to need a locker and the extra flex keeps the tires planted.

If you have an SR5 with no locker I would highly suggest this route.

The downside is needing to extend your rear bump stops. Even with the 701v, fully loaded for my trip out west, I would hit the bump stops offroad easily. Unloaded on a trail it's perfect! But expect to have a 3" rear lift, which I like a nice rake.

This photo still had the rear sway bar attached with the Dobinson's adjustable end links to allow for more down travel. Without the rear sway bar its even better.

What @dot_tom said. He convinced me to go with long travel, though all it took was to see a picture of how much flex he had.

I've got the Long travel front and rear shocks, 300 front coils, 675v rear coils. Rides really well on road and does really well in the trails, I just installed their UCAs a couple weeks ago, and it rides even better. I also have the adjustable sway bar links, but I just disconnect them when I go in.

Thanks guys.

That is awesome flex!!!!

It looks like you end up with rake about the same as stock....does that sound right?

I do have 3rd row seats and a sub in the rear and mine ended up leveled. So with no weight in the rear, the rake should be around the same as stock.

I am running their 749's, super heavy duty rear spring, which I upgraded from the 701's. They carry the added weight even better and still flex.
