Fluid film and rodents?

Anyone have any issues with critters after they used fluid film? I sprayed inside the doors and my GSD's went nose happy. First in the pockets of the shorts i had on (put a rag in there to wipe the excess) then later that evening they made a B-line right to the spots i sprayed. Just curious if people have critter issues after using it.

I have been using it for over 10 years and none of my dogs went nuts. they def. sniffed the trucks but they are labs - they sniff everything! I apply twice a year - once in the fall before winter and again in the spring.

I use it for all kinds of things. It is a great lubricant, but I've found a lot of other uses also.

I had a battery whose post always crudded up. I tried everything including baking soda, coke, battery post spray protector, oil, and maybe a few other remedies, but the post would always start to crud up again. I sprayed Fluid film on it, and it never corroded again.

I also spray it on a rag and wipe down my little tractor with it after I wash it. It shines up like wax.

I have a pull behind fertilizer spreader, and Fluid film on all the moving parts works much better than anything else for keeping it from corroding.

I guess the only other thing I use as often as Fluid Film is my can of Permatex rust protector.

One of the ingredients is lanolin...sheep oil. Probably smells like food to the doggies.

Yup.

It's definitely the lanolin.

Not really concerned about the pups, just curious if it attracted mice and such. I know the soy in the wiring is an issue with rodents chewing, just not sure if the lanolin would add to the issue.

Mice are herbivores, so animal odors should not attract them. Dogs are carnivores.

I sprayed my previous Tacoma with Fluid Film heavily, and had no issues. We have major mice and chipmunks here and they left the truck alone.
