My anecdotal experience, but I've got about 5,000 miles on harsh desert rocks with my 265P rated AT3W's, and I've had zero issues, although I air down to 20psi (no issues with the tires handling it) it just wraps around anything. I'd imagine tire pressure has a big part to play in that.

Not to mention I got DiscountTire to price match amazon at $123 a tire. Really can't beat the bang for buck, and they seem to do great compared to the K02's in rain.

Question

Hey guys. Been looking to upgrade my tires On my 2018 4runner SR5 to the Toyo open country AT 3 and noticed prices difference with all the numbers and letters on the side wall. I am looking at getting 285/70/17 and on one site they are selling them for 180 per tire and another 230 per tire. The 180 dollar is 117T. What does that even mean? Why so much cheaper than others. I am not an off road guy just love the looks of the aggressive tire. Any help?

The number is the load index, it’s a standard p metric not LT, the T is the speed rating. It’s likely the $230 tire is an LT
