On my 4th gen, they're still going strong. I haven't had to touch them and that rig has 210K kms. I had the brakes/suspension checked over by a mechanic also maybe 6 months ago.

Good question! I want to say I've actually seen a tad bit of oil leaking from mine, but the suspension still feels tight with minimal body roll.

I only noticed the leaks when inspecting the system. It may have sagged a bit in the front, that was more likely just related to the age of the springs though.

I guess I'm the outlier here. I had a 2003 Sport with 237,000 on it when I got rid of it and XREAS was still good. I'm currently driving a 2010 Limited with 221,000 miles and, once again, XREAS is leak free. I'm going to be pissed if I just jinxed myself by responding to this post!
In both cases, used as daily drivers with the occasional snow storm thrown in, so maybe that has helped the system last longer...

Handling was the same with old and new. The new system seems less harsh riding to me.

my fronts started leaking around 100,000 km, it was at the time the fj trd suspension was going cheap so I just ripped the lot out and replaced with that

Mine went out at 72,000 miles. Replaced it with ToyTec Boss.

I guess if we want to be thoroughly scientific, we should see who's still driving their original set, and mileage. But then I'm hijacking the thread.

But I'm at 72k, original XREAS, no idea if they leak but will get checked when I'm at 90k.
