Prices on the new 2020's - what are you all getting quoted? Below MSRP
I am starting to see the first couple of purchases of the 2020's, and have yet to see what the dealerships are selling the first batch for.
If you have been negotiating with dealerships for the 2020, any model, how much are they willing to come off of the MSRP?
I am looking for a TRD ORP with KDSS - and have a few dealerships looking for me, but we haven't gotten to price yet. A forum member just picked up a 2020 TRD ORP but we haven't yet heard what price he actually got it for.
Thanks!

I'm going to be in the market also for a TRD ORP in a few months and you have a better chance getting good deal on 2019 instead of 2020 since there are still 2019 sitting in the yard. The keyless start, rear window buttons, safety features and larger infotainment screen is a plus but not sure about the extra cost.

Don't we already have a What are you paying for your 4 runner thread? When people buy the 2020's, they should post in there.

It is buried and over run with 2019's - I have slogged through that post and it's not directly asking for the 2020's - that is why I created this thread. I have massive notes already on the 2019's, and ready to move on a 2020 and am hoping as the 2020's start to get purchased, this will give us a guide on what to expect when negotiating.

I have tossed around that idea and have been tempted, but I have waited since around Feb of this year when I was close to getting a 2019, when I heard of the upgrades. So I will wait it out for the 2020, but I know there are some smoking deals to be had on the 2019's for sure. When we start seeing what the 2020's are actually going for, then we can have a better idea of the extra cost and if the new features are truly worth it.

I agree, this thread is a good idea for those of us looking for 20's.

Because i think there literally hasn't been anyone one here that has taken delivery and purchased their vehicle. Here in like 2-4 weeks, it will be all 2020's.
I'm cool with having different threads for each year, but the way things go around here that thread has been used for 5+ Model Years.

You are probably right - once the 2020s start selling, it will become mostly 2020's, that might take a few months though. I am hoping to grab one in the next month or so, and the price data is just not there yet. I did get info from what looks to be the first 2020 purchase for TRD ORP with KDSS - listed and sold at MSRP arounkd $45k - doesn't sound like that dealer was willing to come down much as they only had one other 2020 - which was without KDSS - for $43k.
So at least we have a starting point - every month that price will likely drop by at least $1k - until it hits about $2k above what the 2019's were going for - $37-$38k

Thanks for this info.
My local "Costco" dealer never actually reached to me when I requested info directly through the program. So I called the dealer myself and they told me they have nothing even on the way, and it will be 2-3 months before they show.

Needless to say, I will just likely cross that dealership off my list, what a joke.

They usually don't respond when they don't think someone is serious.

I wouldn't be surprised if prices on 2020s stay higher than previous years, because as far as salesmen are concerned this is major change (though it's not), and they'll be able to push harder on price.
I have a black ORP w/ KDSS and moonroof on the way.
MSRP: $45,380
Invoice: $42,896
Sales price: $42,596 (6.13% off of MSRP)
Not as good as what people were getting in previous years, but could be worse, given I'm probably getting the first one in my region, and I don't want to wait months to get a better deal.

That seems like a fair price for the first batch. It seemed that a good price earlier this year for a 2019 ORP with KDSS was around $38.5 - a few got one for a bit less, but that price seemed reasonable. You could probably throw in some TRD Pro wheels later in the year. If the 2020 is around $2k above that due to the markup they received - the waiting price may go down to $40-$41 - but likely not much lower than that unless you have some sweet connection or cousin that could hook you up. Next Spring or Summer prices could dip below $40k, but my existing car will cost me at least that in maintenance and loss in value during that same time.

Heh, thanks for making me feel better about myself. The existing car maintenance point is very fair.
Plus, you can't put a price on the almost year more of happiness of driving one during the time you would've waited to save $1000!
