How is headroom with sunroof?

I just saw a video on youtube called TFLcars.com, the fast lane, and they reviewed the 2014 4runner and i noticed the guy driving had his head, hair rubbing the interior roof of the vehicle. Is the inside headroom really that tight? I dont know howmtall he is but im 6'3" and wonder if this is going to pose a problem for me longer term, something i may not have noticed during a short test ride.

Can anyone advise. Thx

Updated post below, but after getting in one this morning i think it will be fine. This unit had redwood leather too, damn good looking.

You can just move the seat down. That's what my husband does when he drives it, and he is 6'2" with a long torso.

I'm 6' and the cabin is cavernous. No headroom issues. The moonroof is awesome.

6"1 with a long torso. I have just about and inch of room in mine. Of course, it depends on how your seat is adjusted.

By the way, I read TFL Truck all the time: www.tfltruck.com

6'4" 250 lb and I fit with a bit to spare. Depends on how you adjust your seat as others have said.

Just like me. I do like my seat pretty much straight up. Sit in one with sunroof, close the sunroof panel and get the seat as low or like you'll drive it and see how it goes...

One thing i love about this site, in minutes you have tons of feedback, thank you. Honestly, with my LE due to arrive middle of next week and a deposit already posted, when i saw this video and the guys head rubbing the roof the whole time, i started to think i really screwed up. Thought i might have been enamoured with some ,any things that i didnt notice the low roof line. I may try to pop in on a local dealer to double check the headroom, sure hope i can get the seat set properly.

The driver on youtube was testing a trail w the sunroof.

I'm just under 6'4 but have a short torso and am not thrilled with the headroom. There needs to be another inch. It's the border around the sunroof that causes the problem. It's sort of awkward in the 2nd row as well as the roof drops down in front of you due to the sunroof.

Not a huge deal. I notice it more in the morning as you are "taller" but no matter what time of day if I sit with proper posture with hands at 10 and 2, my head easily touches. Oh well.

It definitely eats into the headroom. I had forgotten about that as I had the same thing in my beloved 3rd gen. I had an FJC in between these two T4R's and had tons of headroom. Could probably have worn a top hat!
Just as I did in my 3rd gen, I have adjusted the seat accordingly and have enough room to not rub my head. For me, I lower the seat a skosh and recline it just a bit and also move it forward a smidge.

Actually it is easier to adjust the seats in the new T4R's with all these new-fangled electric adjustments that move more ways than Wonka's elevator.

6-2 no problems with the sunroof at all. I have the seat all the way down and have 3+ inches of clearance.

Maybe being "average" isn't so bad, never thought about head room in vehicles.....hell the Mazda Miata I had after school even had plenty of room. 5'10ish

PS to the OP I think you should be fine based on the responses above and the drivers seats has a decent amount of adjustability in it. Enjoy the truck

I'm 6'2" and there is plenty of room up top. A friend of mine is 6'7" and he fit in the Passenger seat fine. With my previous 4Runner ('04) I wasn't able to get the moonroof because I didn't fit very well. I'm glad they fixed that with the 5th Gen.

Driver's seat is fine. My hair rubs on the passenger seat - annoying. I'm 6'. My 6'5" friend's head hits unless he leans the seat back a bit and moves his head over to the left.
