Been meaning to post this to T4R for awhile so some info is a bit outdated...

Picked up my 2016 MGM TEP W/ KDSS on 8/12/16.

My goal is to slowly build it up to be very similar to my Taco build. Designed primarily for camping, traveling, occasional trails and hauling my dirtbike.

Few pics of my Taco next to the 4runner.

I don't have any money for mods until I sell my Taco and I am still waiting on the title to sell her. Did manage to order 5 SCS Ray 10 wheels with some money I had squirreled away.

Day 6 of owning her I just had to tear into it, took the dash apart and relocated the USB plug to the glovebox.

That went way too quick so I decided to run an iPhone cable to the clock area for my phone holder. That went way too quick too.

About an hour into that project my daughter came out and played in the back, then I decided to open the garage door when I was starting it up to test the cable. Didn't even hear the garage door drag across the back of the opened hatch. Well ****, 6 days and I already have a deep ass scratch.

Finally got my console vault that I ordered before the 4runner... easy install and a bit of safety.

UPS dropped off a few boxes last week as well, very beautiful new wheels.

Unfortunately they will be sitting in the garage until I can get some cash together for new tires.

I REALLLLY need a roofrack too for camping!

That's all for now, much more to come when I sell the Taco and have some cash for tires and suspension. Thinking Icon and Duratracs.

Scs

My wife picked up her TEP in August as well but so far we have mostly only been collecting boxes - no mods so far other than interior LED swap. Most everything is on hand for the second battery install.

I really like those SCS wheels. Thinking hard about a set as well but will likely go with the F6's. Wonder how hard it will be to keep those clean?

Well the Taco finally sold after I got the title in the mail, glad to have the money but sad to see it driving away.

Took some of the money from the Taco sale and threw on a set of Duratracs, 285/70/17. Rubbed like a ***** but I knew they would. Also ordered a stage 5 Icon kit and some Metal tech lower links, didn't want to pay for billet, also got the tubular UCA's from Icon. Ordered a Gobi Stealth roofrack with no rise in the front as well. That will be here in a few months.

Tires and wheels, no lift.

Got bored waiting for all the Icon gear to get here so I built a drawer system for the back and a place to store the spare until I get a rear bumper with swingout. Also installed a fire extinguisher mount from LawnDart.

Finally the Icons showed up...

Newest pic with Icons installed...

It looks like you bent the mount on the fire extinguisher back? try to avoid doing that as it's aluminum, it was designed to sit vertical for a reason, fyi.

Yeah, I knew someone might notice that, makes it more accessible to me for sure but I am not planning on messing with it again. Just out of curiosity what was the reason for having it sit vertically, other than being able to bolt it in of course?

Sitting vertically allows the seat to travel further forward. Notice how the bolts aren't accessible either now? you'll have to bend the plate forward, which could cause the metal to fatigue. probably will actually.

The next, commercial version of this, will have 45 degree tabs on the outsides that prevent the mount from being bent, for example if someone stepped on the fire extinguisher. It'll also be steel with a universal cheese plate hole pattern.
