2020 SR5 Premiums

1st of, dealers REALLY PUSHING 2019s.

I was all stoked about picking up my 2020 SR5 premium. I talked to "costco rep" after submitting my info on the costco auto service website and selected 2020 sr5 premium 2WD and this sales guy calls me ASAP like 10 seconds later LIKE 2 DAYS AGO and says yeah yeah we got two 2020 sr5 premiums. Right before heading over there i email him and he replies oh we only got 2019s in stock. wa wa wa wa wa waaaaaaaaaaaa. BAIT and SWITCH. AND when i talked to him he said i would get an amazing deal on 19s. I want push BUTTON and new stereo.

Anyways... Do all 2020 SR5 premiums come with sunroof or you can get a 2020 SR5 PREMIUM 2WD WITH NO SUNROOF

2WD 4RUNNER? That’s like taking a bologna sandwich to a Bar-B-Q.

My REAL off road rig is my 2018 YFZ450R SE QUAD. I like the rush when you stab the thottle. Trail riding my quad is a blast. Not sure I would get same experience on any other off road rig, a dirt bike yeah. I need the 4 runner to tow my quad reliably and faster than 50 mph than my 2.3 ranger red lining up steep mountains that feels like engine gonna blow.

The trails I go to I see lots of 4 runners fixed up with aftermarket suspension and they are FREAKING AWESOME can go through a lot of difficult terrain. It is just not my thing. I completely stop in the side of the trails I DO NOT WANT MY DEEP TREAD TIRES ON MY QUAD TO SHOOT A ROCK TO A NEW 4 RUNNER OR TACOMA i let them pass by and just admire them and give them a thumbs up. IT HAS happened when going fast but no one around. Maybe a lift and 285s on a 2wd is the most ill do.

2WD 4Runners are like unicorns in California. Most of the 2WD 4Runners end up in Florida.

The way I see it a 2wd 4runner is THE BEST 2WD V6 vehicle that can tow my trailer and quad reliably up the mountains in windy highways.

I know a 4 runner is not a lightweight corolla im SPORT MODE,

BUT IS A PART TIME 4WD 5TH GEN 4 RUNNER slower than a 2Wd with those extra 200 pounds on non off road situations that anyone can tell by the seat of the pants dyno?

Do what you want regarding 2wd...I traded in a 2010 Infiniti FX 35 with push button start, larger screen, etc and a few other things my 2019 4Runner SR5 Premium 4wd didn't have.

I considered holding out for the 2020 for push button and larger screen but I couldn't pass up the deal on the 2019 and don't regret it for a second. I'm really happy with it.

4Runner is far from the best vehicle you can buy to tow. Old engine, not great mapped transmissions. Ecoboost F150 would be far better for towing.

FAT FINGERS !! 4wd it is for the WIN !!! Towing a trailer with quad and gear and if there is a strong storm in the desert i will be confident my 4 runner will take me to the staging area through the dirt road. And i just had a thought suddenly pop into my head IN 2 YEARS I WILL LIVE BY the mountains where it snows.

4WD FOR THE WIN !!! And the 1mpg less highway aint that much LOL !! Remembered a buddy from work who got a 2wd tacoma in the heat of the moment told me he wished he went for 4wd and only liken2gs more...

So a 2020 SR5 PREMIUM 4WD is how much more roughly than the 2wd mall crawler?

Going through costco if it matters.
