2020 question

Ok, I am confused. I thought everything I had read said all trim levels of the 2020 had to be proximity entry with push-button start. Did I get that wrong?

From exercising my Google through this morning, it looks like the only dealership with a 2020 4Runner actually on the lot and Central Texas is Charles Maund, in Austin. They have one TRD Off Road in nautical blue.

I was quite shocked when I got in it and saw there was a key in the ignition. I double-checked the sticker, and the key tag everything said model year 2020. And also looked like the Entune infotainment system. Can y'all take a look at these pictures and tell me if I'm crazy or misunderstand?

Sorry for the mediocre pictures, especially the sticker, as I am posting from my phone and haven't had a chance to edit them.

Thanks!

The premiums get the push to start. The trdpro gets dual automatic climate control. All the Canadian models get both.

You got it partially wrong. Only the Premium trim levels of the SR5 & TRD OR get push-button start. The standard model of each (with the cloth seats) still use a key.

Follow-up question: Remote Start?

Follow-up question: Is remote start an option? Using the configuration tool at the Toyota web site, I don't see that as an option to add. Is it something that is added at the port, or something that you select when ordering if you can't find one on the lot?

Man ... I've been searching the forum but I cannot find a thread discussion that covers this

I am debating between 2020 ORP, Venture (RED ) and PRO (olive green ). I can see the differences in the Toyota website but I would like to hear what 4runner fans have to say about this

What route would you go if you can easily afford the TRD PRO? Would you still get a ORD and mod it? Or a venture?

thanks

ps: For administrators, feel free to move this message to another thread, if deemed necessary

ps1: If you know of a thread where this is discussed, I'd appreciate if you specify it

there are countless discussions on if the TRD Pro is worth it

it's not, not unless it has an exclusive color you just really want

If you really want the AG Pro and money is of no concern, then go for it.
Money is not a concern for me and I bought a new SW 16 Pro and i love it. Would I do it again, I doubt it. IMO the only reason to get the Pro is for the special color that is offered that year (in hindsight).
Also, I am a modder. Not a shred of Pro factory suspension remains on my rig.
For me it was good money after bad. But I also plan to keep my 4R for 200k...so in the end no biggie.
