A local dealer is agreeing to order one from the factory to my specifications. We’ll see how that goes.

It’s not difficult. Just have to be patient. When I did it back in 14 it took a little under 4 months from order acceptance to delivery. At the time I wasn’t in a hurry and there wasn’t a single one in the entire country with tan interior / mag grey exterior. Was told by several dealers it was not a possible combo even though you could build it on Toyota’s site. Took 2 weeks for approval/acceptance from Japan but after that it was extremely painless.

Well, I just put $500 down to hold a Super White TRD ORP with KDSS and moonroof. The 4Runner is supposed to arrive at the port on November 2nd. The dealer told me they expect it to be delivered to the San Diego dealership lot within a week.
Does that sound about right, one week from port to the lot?
Thanks!

Sweet! Hope it works out and it’s a smooth delivery. One week from port to the lot sounds a little over optimistic. That would be a best case scenario. From what my dealer told me, when the car is unloaded from the ship (first off, last off) can make a difference of about a week.
A lot of the early waves of deliveries have been held up by backordered parts and probably some other issues.

Picked mine up today. Must have been 4Runner day as there were, I think, 4 being picked up.
Anyway, my first 4R and I just grinned the entire drive home. Drove great, smooth, the Pro exhaust has just enough nut that I’m glad I got it. The headunit is nice and easy to use...the old version was identical to my RAV4, so I was ready for new.
Really questioned the gray Pro wheels on a MGM, but with the Nitto tires and the blacked out emblems, it just looks mean...
My wife drove it and smiled the entire time...now, I just need to get some pics up for you all before he contact reminders about posting pics...

20 Black ORP
Picked up a 2020 ORP for the wife on Wed of last week. This is our first 4R and I must say it looks great and drives great. If I didnt need a truck I would trade the Tacoma for one.

Picked up my 2020 Super White TRD ORP w/KDSS and only all-weather mats as extra (didn’t even want those) last night!! I was searching for ZERO extras, but close enough.
My first 4R and loved the hour long ride home.
Good luck with your searches out there!

If you found a 2020 ORP w/o a moonroof, you have found a rare gem, indeed! Well done!

I can't speak for your dealer, but the rig I ordered, a Barcelona Red w/ kdss and sunroof (nothing else) hit port on the 19th of September. it still has not moved. My dealer said he's got three Pro's he's waiting on since the 9th of September.
I sure hope you don't have to wait as long as I, but it'll be worth it either way. Congrats on the (future) purchase.

They must have run out of running boards, which seem to have been slapped onto every 4R that arrives in Northern California.

Are they really that rare? I picked up my Super White 2020 ORP w/o a moonroof last week, here in Texas.

I was disappointed with the inflated prices of 2019 and 2020 TRD Off Road models. I'm in San Diego too and $54k for one of these in Lemon Grove Toyota? I don't think so. I found a 2014 Trail Premium with almost 60k miles with sliders already installed, got it for $25k. It has the sliding cargo tray, KDSS and the sunroof, very happy with it.
