I personally like the dash and large knob setup without the Dual - Auto Climate setup. I would actually prefer that setup over dual climate if it were an option. I never quite understood auto climate on a car - it is a tiny space and I live in San Diego - so it is either AC on or off. Heat on or off. I have had dual climate and auto climate on my Mercedes for 10 years and have never used it once - LOL

Absolutely, monster pike up there, I mean pike as big as your leg. Also decent smallies. It's a gorgeous place man. A great way to spend some time.

Dealer notified me the following day. As I recall, he got the dealership allocation on September 7th, which I believe meant, 'here's what's on the shipment for you'. The vehicle was shipped on, or around September 8th. It look 11 or so days to reach Cali. And probably around that, to be inspected, and then placed on a truck to Colorado. The next update I receive will be when the vehicle leaves port on a truck, as at that point, I'll want to coordinate installation of tires/wheels with the accessory department.
I'll let you all know when that happens. Possibly this week I suppose.
And thanks, I am really looking forward to it. Been planning this rig ever since I totaled it on a Mule Deer in December of 2016. It'll be a sizable change from my TJ.

Having never purchased a 4Runner before, do you know if the dealers go a few grand back of MSRP for the TRD Off-Road Premiums?
|
As far as I know, when I asked the dealership, they said they weren't going to mark up the ORP or other trims for that matter. And from what I have read so far, depending on where you go, you can and should always negotiate below MSRP. Now the question is, how many percent off the MSRP should we strive for the OTD (out the door) price? I hear 15% off MSRP is very good but what is it realistically?

I think getting 8-10% off MSRP on the first wave seems reasonable. That will get better as the 2019's sell out. I am hoping to see a spike in inventory here in Southern California by mid October, and we should have a better idea then how much lower off of the MSRP people are getting the ORPs.

I was looking for 2020 TRD Off Road Premium on CarGurus.com and saw there was one in Colorado where the TRD lettering on the headrest and red stitching was removed.
LINK: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...7011/overview/
Does anyone have news on this? Either Toyota has removed the red stitching and TRD lettering on the 2020s for Off Road Premiums or this actually a Off Road non-premium but is listed as Premium.
UPDATE: I took a closer look and the link I provided above is a 2019 because the grille does not have TSS-P. Dealer is trying to jip us.

15% would put my $46,614 4Runner under $40K ($39,622). That was be awesome!
Historically, is there a "best time of year" to pick a 4Runner?
Thanks

Also half the photos are of an SR5 interior. Note the gray/black softex. Head unit of the OR is 2019

Using Costco auto prg, I found a dealer to quote me $42,414 with their dealer price at 42,614 (ORP w/ KDSS and moonroof. No port options). That represents 6% off MSRP of 45,195. Could probably talk them down 1% more.

Yeah I figured it was something else. Although I thought SR5 only had cloth interior and no softex leather. That's what threw me off about the photos.

Not bad. I used Costco Auto once and it was a great experience. I'll probably use them again when the 2019s are gone and the 2020s are sitting on the lots.

i tried it all. My wife drives 2010 Limited with xRes. I traded in my 2011 Trail with KDSS for the 2019 Pro with Fox. I liked the cornering with KDSS and absolutely love the City drive in the TRD tuned Fox. I live in the North and come across a ton of pot holes and bad roads. Also outdoor Cottage guys in the deep trails. So now I decided to make the best of the both worlds and getting a 2020 TRDOffRoad with KDSS instead of the 2020 Pro. Have planed to buy the Fox setup and install it in the 2020 TRDOffRoad. A couple of forum members shared their experience with installing Fox on the OffRoad with KDSS - it takes some fine tuning with low height spacers but can be done. Will report back when I have it all done. Getting a delivery of the 2020 in two to three weeks. Going from VooDoo to Metallic Gray. VooDoo is super nice but doest look the same when Dirty so I am going back to the Gray (that had on my 2011).
BTW wife loves the ride of my 19 Pro so I offered her to keep the Pro but she won't take it because it does have the Auto Climate control. Not really sure how long will she stay with the 10LTD before she jumps the ship.

This ad is all jacked up - the pictures are 2 different cars, both 2019's.
Some interior shots are of an SR5 Premium with that 2 tone softex - the dash is ORP 2019, the front bumper as you mentioned has no TSS-P radar, and there isn't that ugly new chrome line that comes out the sides of the Toyota emblem on the grill.
Hack job on that ad.
The 2020 ORP's do have the red stitching and TRD on the head rests.

It's so strange the way the offer these.
At least I am second guessing the cargo tray. I read different options and some people think it does pull out enough, crap get stuck underneath it and it rattles.
I don't like rattles!
Is the roof height your issue with moonroof?
