I appreciate the link for sure. I still need to clean up 2 cars that I am trading in and likely looking at end of Nov for me at the earliest. I may just wait until end of the year or even push to Jan - I am thinking we should be able to grab this model for the $42-43k range. I had a dealer in Norther Cal counter my $42.5 offer with a $45.5k price today. Another one from Santa Cruz came back at the same price of $45.5k - $500 off of MSRP, then came back and pushed a 2019 for about $6k lower.

It so funny you mentioned moding. I have been doing the same damn thing.
My Amazon "4Runner List" has everything from dash speakers, GMRS radio, LED bulbs, Center console organizer, Pedal Commander etc. I truly need therapy!
I definitely want a moonroof are you looking for one with or without?

I’m feeling the same way guys! My ORP hit the port on Sept. 9. Pipeline tracker says it has not yet left. At this point I’m certain it will be end of Oct. Oh well, just gives me more time to save money for parts and mods

Oh yep, it has become a problem, lol. I have gone down some long mod rabbit holes, and I am worried now about myself.
Yeah, I definitely want the moonroof. I don't think I like the sliding cargo deal - I think I want that area open and clear.

I’m back and forth daily with the cargo deck. I’ve seen a few videos and build threads where it looks amazing to have it and then I read about noises and problems. I doubt the convenience is really worth the potential hassle. But it would be convenient!

I know, been thinking the same thing. Maybe the few extra weeks is a bit of a monetary blessing - or at least that is what I am telling myself. The longer I wait, the more mods get done immediately. It is just my own rules I just made up. I am paying myself back for the patience I have shown, lol.
Have you narrowed down what tires you are going with, or are you sticking with the Stock for now?

I'm the same way. At first, I was all in on the Cargo Deck, no question. Then looking at the clanky setup, and hearing about the rattling / noise issues, then I have changed my mind. I am going to be throwing surfboards back there, I don't think it works great in that setup. The tailgate setup does sound pretty cool though - I am sure I would find ways to use it.

Dmsea1,
The ORP in santa cruz does the vin end in 8768?
I got offered couple hundred above invoice for it. They'll go lower but you need to bring a competitive offer. They started me with $1000 off MSRP tho.

I am in San Diego and I am just waiting for the ability to get the sliding cargo deck with KDSS and the moonroof. Right now the cargo deck is only available without KDSS and the moonroof.
Here is exactly what I am hoping to get.
- 2020 Super White 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium
- KDSS
- Moonroof
- Sliding Cargo Deck
- Matte Black TRD rims
- LED fog lights
What color and options are you guys considering and how is the availability in your area?

I saw about 3 with KDSS and a Moonroof the night I looked for mine. I'm in Central Cal, but the only 2020's I could find (including mine, which is now 3ish weeks old) were in the Bay Area. I needed the extra headroom so I got the single 2020 I saw with KDSS and no Moonroof. Also if I could fit with the moonroof, I would have probably gotten the Pro because I love that green.

Yeah, after some reading, I have changed my mind on the cargo deck. Crap getting stuck underneath it and potential rattles. Pass. But I absolutely want KDSS and a moonroof.

I really imaged the green would be ugly until I actually saw the 4Runner Pro with it. Wow, very cool!

I wanted to see what everyone is getting for quotes on a 2020 TRD ORP.
I started by going thru Costco and that dealer quoted me $100 over invoice but doesn't have the one I want. He is still looking around for a trade.
The next dealer a friend turned me on to, quoted me $1,000 over invoice but when I said a Costco dealer quoted me $100 over invoice he said he would try to get $0 over invoice approved. Still waiting while he finds the truck and gets it approved.
Anyway, does anyone know what "invoice" is on a 2020 TRD ORP? The first dealer said that on a $44,673 MSRP the invoice is approximately $42,000.
Does that sound about right?
Is $2,700 off MSRP a good deal or will it get substantially better by the end of the year or sometime next year?

I believe options can change invoice, which options are you getting?

I will be adding the black TRD rims as well.

I have my VIN and am pretty sure my dealer will work with me on final price, but will post that all up when things happen.
My dealer does have a TRD OR and a SR5P on the lot...$40 and $42 respectively and before any dealings...but also has a lot of 19s sitting there, too. I could see my wife wanting a 19 Limited w/3rd row if a deal can be had.

congrats-- If I end up choosing up a TRD OR premium over the Pro, my build will look almost identical to yours

No, it doesn't sound right. If it is right, then several people are getting their T4Rs for under invoice. $2,700 off is only 6%.
You'll get a better price next year when the 2020s aren't the new thing that just hit the market. If you don't need a new vehicle immediately, just wait until then and order one spec'd exactly as you want it. When I was casually shopping in July I got several quotes that were just over 11% off (on a 2019 model). I didn't bite because I wanted to see what the 2020 model was going to be like. I don't regret waiting because I'd rather have a 2020, but the earliest I'm going to shop for one is next April.
BTW, MSRP on a 2020 TRD-ORP with no options is $42,470.
