Is it a single or twin turbo system? I don't see how you get no lag on a single turbo without some sort of surge tank.

I'm no expert in this sort of thing but I was under the impression that lag increases as your up-size the turbo.

Perhaps the turbo is small enough that lag is minimized / optimized.

Procharger is a centrifugal supercharger, not a turbo as it's still belt driven.

Although I wish we could get a turbo system for us who live at elevation...

Hopefully this is more promising than the Magnuson. The Magnuson seems pretty underwhelming.

Still need to get the RPMs up to get into boost.

I"M guessing their no lag is still real minimal.

The only thing that would help is a larger lower pulley. I honestly don't know how this thing is driven with the 4Runner accessory drive, but in the Mustang world a larger lower pulley to help get supercharger rpm up us common.

Properly sizing a supercharger for your needs make blanket statements like this kinda inaccurate. I have ridden in vehicles where the procharger type supercharger built boost way faster than a whipple unit (with the caveat, the supercharger from procharger was defitiely spec'd for a street car on pump gas, and the whipple was the largest unit they had.. both were on 6.0L LS blocks...)

Never-the-less, I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So in essence, the comparison is invalid because they were not both street kits. Positive displacement superchargers tend to make low to mid power. Why? The boost curves are different.

I am very interested.

What I would like to know is if our transmissions will hold up to this.

If they make 50% more power as apposed to the other options at 30%, that could put us at 405hp and 417ftlb. Can the a750f hold up to that?

I like Procharger's for drag racing racing but for off-road use, other than the wow factor, I wouldnt go with a Procharger. The simply don't have the power/trq down low that a Roots blower would have.

I had a supercharger on my Tacoma. Never again for an off-road vehicle.
