I'm curious as to what the results are. I want to go Magnusson at some point, but ProCharger is about 15 minutes away from me so that would be extremely convenient.

Looks like a great new option. Curious how they're doing the tune. And more curious about the cost. Looks like they're $6500+ for the Wrangler 3.6. I'm not sure how many they'll sell compared to the Mag unit that's as close to OEM as it gets for about $5500 or the URD that's probably a better S/C but includes the fuel system upgrades and a stand alone for about the same price.

Rotrex has been selling a kit for the 4.0 Prado 150 for quite a while. Very similar design. It's $4,700 USD, but is also using a more complex liquid to air intercooler and you'd have to source in Australia and get it shipped. If there's any transitive properties on cost this would be less than that system given the simplicity of air/air IC. But I'd guess it'll be a lot closer to $6500 based on their other products.

More competition is always nice though!

They advertise no lag. I would be curious what the low RPM power band looks like because that’s where we typically need it most off-road. Generally I would prefer a turbo on a go-fast vehicle, but generally for our trucks the SC is typically a better option.

Since boost in linear with a centrifugal supercharger, down low won't see too much gain. Might be fine for wheeling since you won't be breaking parts but won't be so great for towing but it shouldn't be less than stock. These are more efficient units.

The question is, which will be the overall best unit to get once this is released?

Just depends on what you want. Prochargers build power with RPM. A Magnuson will make awesome low to mid power. The Procharger will make a higher peak number.

Positive displacement superchargers like Magnuson and Whipple act similar. The Whipple unit iwill flow better than the Maggie at high RPM. Only problem with the URD/Whipple unit is the tuning.
