Lower control arm replacement - lost original alignment marks

So I took my 4runner to the local garage to get an alignment after installing the Daystar spacer lift kit and was told that my driver's side cam bolts were seized. Took the truck home and got to work on it last night. sprayed and soaked everything down overnight and applied torsion to the bushing overnight with a long breaker bar propped against a stack of weights. After relaxing the torsion and spraying down again the bushing actually popped loose. I wrenched it out and cleaned up my hardware. In the course of wire brushing and PB blasting my cams and bushings I managed to lose my alignment marks. I am not sure how critical this is since the only thing I am going to do after I put it back together is drive it to the dealership to get the alignment done. I guess my question is should I just set these at 0 and drive it or is this going to give me headaches?

Perhaps the most obvious answer in the history of this forum: go get an alignment.

Thanks. That is the obvious plan. I am just wondering if anyone had any advice for a null or default setting. I have to drive it about 15.miles to the dealership. I am sure it will be fine, but I don't have a ton of experience with these adjustment cams.

If you have no idea where they were set before set them right in the middle. Take it slow to start and evaluate. Take the back roads and keep it slow. You dont want some nasty surprise when you hit 75.

Thanks. I figured as much. Just wanted to get the opinion of someone who had experience with this.

My experience with with this was nasty. I replaced mine with Dirt King lca's. Forgot to set the alignment marks.
After I got everything put together, I put the top of the tabs pointed upwards because I really didn't remember how it was set. But the steering wheel was so off (turned almost 90 degrees to the left). That's where the damage came in.

In short I damaged the spiral cable in my steering wheel simply backing down my driveway at full lock. I and had Toyota fix it. It was all more expensive than the new lower control arms by a few.

If you have some of your own photos you've taken of your suspension with that lift, base it off that too. Hope you get it all situated.

So, you are going to want to try to turn the front and rear bolts until the camber of the wheel is close as possible to straight up and down, then go test drive and see if its pulling really bad. You wont be able to get it perfect, but you cant eyeball the caster and the toe adj can be made from the LCA bolts.

Thanks for the word of caution. That sounds horrible. The local garage I went to half assed an attempt to get the alignment done and and as a result when I centered my wheels up before jacking and removing my tires I noticed that my steering wheel is no longer centered. I'm going to have to be real careful.
