Painting newer trail wheels?

I scored some of the newer trail wheels with the black trim for my 4th gen. I’ve painted wheels before with good results, but I’m kinda concerned about these, because the shiny black seems different. I may just plastidip, but has anybody done this with good results?

You shouldn't have any problem painting these like you have in the past. Just need to prep it like any other metal surface being painted. Since these are already finished, you can skip priming the entire wheel and just touch up the bare metal after smoothing and blending the scored areas. You might want to consider filling the areas with a compound if its really deep.

Plastidip in my onion is great for many things. I haven't had any luck with it being directly applied to a vehicles painted surface. Since the wheels are painted idk how well it will stick.
