Those of you with the 3rd row...

Looking to maybe get back into a 5th gen. I need to fit a dog crate in the back with dimensions : 34”L x 23”W x 28.5” H.

In my previous 5th gen (with sliding cargo), this crate fit perfectly. I’m unsure how the third row adds height or limits length though once folded

Can someone please measure for me with the 3rd row folded?

Thanks

third row folded reduces the height by about 5". The entry height is around 31'5" and the distance between the wheel wells is 43".

Anyways seems like it should fit no problem. We can fit our medium sized crate not folded down in it.

Thanks. So 31.5” with the third row folded ? I seem to recall in my 5th gen it was 32” from the sliding deck to the headliner

I just checked my 3rd row. It is 31.5" with the third row folded at the entry and it gets better until you get to the second row, which is plenty far for your crate.

If you don't have a 3rd row, the floor is falsely higher by a few inches (foam); a friend took his apart and made storage below. Still lower than the third row, but I think when you put the sliding part on it may be close to the same height so 32" might be right.

Yeah I think you'll be fine. My dog crate is the wire type, basically a cube, at 36.5L x 23W x 24H. With it centered between the four tie downs, there's about 7" to spare in the center from the top of the crate to the lowest point of the headliner and about 6.25" on either side. 2019 SR5 Prem with 3rd row. Sorry for no pics, I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
