I suppose it all depends on your definition of significant. I guess I was really referencing the 285/75 in particular, because it is (almost) a true 34" tire, and is 5 lbs. heavier, which I consider significant enough to consider. But you are right, I did throw the 285/70 in there as well, and it's a mere 2 lbs. heavier in the E load range, which is insignificant in my book. The 34x10.5 is also a D load range, which if BFGoodrich made the 285/70 in a D would most likely be about the same weight.
And as was mentioned above, a C load rated KO2 is indeed lighter.

This is another reason why I opted to not go with the KO2 34x10.5
