Parking light wire location 5th gen (2019) 4Runner

Hey all,

This may seem like beating a dead horse as I did search and there are 13 or so pages on the raptor light install however, I can't seem to find any that show where/how to tap into the parking light wire on the driver side for a 5th gen (2019) 4Runner (google has also failed me here).

I saw the post where they tapped into the parking wire going into the fuse box near the heel plate but I thought people were tapping into where the bulb connection was somewhere upfront, under the hood. Would someone please provide me a picture?

If there is a better solution to installing these lights to where I can have them on when the stick is on (any position) and off when it is off then I am all ears as the add-a-fuse option keeps them on at all times and I don't want that.

Thanks!

Brad

I simply tapped one of the wires to one of the side park lights in the headlight assembly. It's a little tight to get the plug out of there, but then I spliced into the wire. Do I remember which wire? No. But I'm pretty sure if there is a white wire with black stripe, it's a ground. You can probably tap either side, but if the bulb burns out you may lose power to your other lights if you use the ground side. Sorry, I'm not where I can get a picture to help.

Thanks for the help so far! This is my first wiring project so I have another (most likely dumb) question...

Am I splicing into these wires where they come into the fuse box? So the red positive wire from my LED lights spliced into the Green wire (pin 16) and black wire from LED lights spliced into the Red wire (pin 30)?

If you have a picture of this that would be even better.

Thanks!

Red to green, yes. Black to ground, anywhere, doesn't have to be pin 30.

I managed to get the ditch lights (Rigid D-SS Pros) installed...

However, the raptor lights are giving me trouble. When I got to the fuse box under the dash I noticed the wires are pulled super tight so I have to t-tap instead of splice. I was unable to figure out where to ground. Do any of you have any locations that are near this wire to where I don't have to tap another wire? Also, just to make sure, it is the green wire on the top left plug toward the bottom correct?

And because I can't figure out how in the hell to post pics on here with the image link using URL's (even after trying every photo bucket address) they are attached all out of order using the "manage attachments" section.

Thanks!

I should mention, I do not recommend powering anything directly off of these wires. You should use these wires as a trigger for a relay. The last thing you want to do is pull too much current through your factory electrical harness.
