Basically it bolts on exactly how the heavy duty trailer hitch assemblies go on - using the same hardware and mounting points. I've had a few folks ask about producing them, but I've never really been serious about it. If I had some free time I could probably draw up the DXF files. I think there's a market for someone to replicate it. The only trick is that the frame has a weld bead down the middle, so you need to work around it. You can see the funky cutout of the mounting flange area on the GX460 class 3 hitch. It's made that way so it doesn't sit on the frame welds.
I've done a fair amount of "testing" and it's held up well.

I haven't picked it up yet, but I got some pictures via text yesterday and thought I should share my excitement with y'all! I still have to paint them but here is what it looks like.
He ended up telling me had to weld them on. I didn't care, but not sure if any of y'all would. How much would y'all pay for a kit? He asked me for y'alls opinions.
It was the owner Eddy and his small shop of SOS Offroad Concepts that made this. He has some other great options! Here is his website. He also made me a front bumper! Super talented and great to work with. I believe his wait times are very minimal.

That looks awesome! I am not sure how much I would pay, I guess the question is how much is his work worth to him? I would pay way less than full bumper replacement. The work looks amazing and it came out really well. I would say one of the down falls is that it is weld on. That means most people will have to pay someone on top of the product price to get it installed.

Like what I see

I would like to see this on an off-road with the valance. Also can you send a pick from underneath? Is it closed out or just open pipe? Please keep me in the loop with out come and costs also Moshie, I appreciate your efforts in sticking it out there and putting something together.

I like it. Step in the right direction. I would be wary of removing factory mounting points for plastic if it's still connected underneath. I have made tons of contract with the plastic underneath in the areas you see that are remaining. It would likely rip the whole thing off with that setup (come close to it without the cuts). I would want it to be some sort of half cut so it's just steel underneath.
Wish someone would make a bolt/weld on high clearance rear tube bumper with a carrier.

Anyone expanded on this idea yet?
I'm thinking about fabbing this up myself and possibly adding a swing out to the mix.
If not I'm going for the same thing + boxing in my cargo platform to slide the spare in (so it's safe to daily with the spare in the cargo area).

Glad this popped up. I'll be getting out the tube bender and making my own when I got some free time. My valance is half screwed anyways from a rock in Sand Hollow as well as the corner of the bumper. I'll get back with pics when I get to it, might be a few months since my priority welding and fabbing is on my Tacoma currently.

I've been throwing a similar idea around myself for a while here. First i was going to make a swing-out that attached to the hitch, and then duplicate the hitch so i could mount a bike rack, etc. but the more i thought the more bolting it to the frame points that the hitch uses makes sense. You could also incorporate some tubing or plates to protect the bumper areas similar to the first pic in this thread, either with or without cut-outs. I am going to grab some measurements over the holiday break while i'm installing my lift to see what can be done, and assuming things go well i'd like to fab something between xmas and new years.
