Icon Rear Remote Reservoir Help (56505R)

Does anybody have a photo of how the remote reservoir is secured to the frame? I installed my lift last weekend, and have since just zip tied my rear remote reservoirs temporarily for two reasons. First off, one of my shocks didn't come with the hardware kit. Second, the instructions aren't entirely clear on how to mount the remote reservoir (in my opinion). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sorry, no pics
but, this is easy.
take the mud flaps off.
mock up where you want them mounted on the frame, you want them as far back as possible.
you need to drill a 21/64" (.328) hole then use the self tapping screw to form the thread. use the hose clamps to secure them to the bracket.
i had to cut the mud flap just a little bit on the driver's side for my installation.

you shouldn't have to drill anything, there's a threaded hole (or 2) back there already. when i did mine i discovered ICON mistakenly included SAE, not metric, hardware for the reservoir mounts, so i had to scrounge up a couple bolts in the right size.

definitely remove the rear mudflaps to make the job much easier. LawnDart's look right on.

enjoy the ride with the new shocks!

I'm running OME 898 springs in the rear, because I'm carrying recovery gear, CBI rear bumper, swing arm, spare tire, jerry cans. And because of the front with my winch, pelfrey bumper, and group 31m battery, the front sagged a bit, so we have the coilovers adjusted to keep the vehicle nice and level with a full fuel tank/standard load (recovery gear and tools).

It has stiffened up the front suspension, but I don't find it to be stiff off road, and on road it helps tame the handling characteristics of it being an SUV/Truck.

Did you end up maxxing it out or do you still have some more room to adjust? I bought the overland springs because I plan on loading down the rear with gear for trips, and since I bought the new SSS rear bumper.

I assume you mean the adjustments in the front, because there's none in the rear.

Frankly you're going to need to install the bumper and adjust after a few days because the rear end will settle.

Mine aren't maxed out, I can get a measurement on the amount of exposed thread, but I know we could go a little further but frankly IF anything I feel I could maybe dial back the front lift a ton just so there's less rear rake when under a full expedition load.

Yeah, I'm referring to the front. I didn't know the rear springs would settle eventually. The rake didn't look bad at first, but upon closer inspection, it looks pretty drastic with the fronts at stock height. I might mess with it tomorrow when I get it on the lift to install the hardware for my rear shock.

i have the ICON "2-inch" rear springs (yielded a bit more than 2 inches in the back) and with the front coilovers at their stock setting it pretty much preserved the factory 2" rake.

i drove it for a while that way, then adjusted the coilovers up about a half inch. things definitely settle; give them time.

This helps a lot. I definitely need to adjust mine then since the overland springs add 3" in lift.

yeah, both front and rear will "relax" a bit with some time, and the process will be accelerated if you give it some good opportunities to stretch its legs and flex.

congrats on the new suspension. you'll love it.
