This kind of thread would definitely get more attention with photos. I tend to skip on threads that make me do additional searches or click on external links. A picture is worth a thousand words. As the thread sits, I have no interest or opinion on the climate control knobs in question.

Trying to be constructive, so please don’t rip my head off too.
How am I supposed to understand his reasoning behind a one word post without context? I get your point on pictures, I justed started using Tapatalk because I was having a hell of a time figuring it out on my PC.

Interesting, thanks for the insight

The first reply by borfoo3 is very common in online forums. Happy emojis holding signs indirectly requesting pictures is pretty clear to anyone that’s been online for any length of time.

Perhaps next time consider asking for clarification in a civil manner before snarling at someone and your T4R forum experience will probably go smoother.

It's because you are using Tapatalk, emoji's don't come through on the app. The series of emoji's you've quoted says "this thread is worthless without pics"

TRD Pro climate control knobs

Are there any companies that do black knobs for the TRD Pro climate control system. AJT is not compatible so I'm looking for another company. Barring that, has anyone had any luck removing the knobs and the silver round housing and turning them black?

The knobs just pull off.

I recently installed a set of the AJT knobs. The stock knobs do come apart separating the rubber trim from the face of the knob. At that point it would be very easy to paint the silver part black. I was considering painting the knobs using Black Hyperdip. They have gloss black and flat black or Kyrlon Fusion paint for plastic.

From what I’ve read the dual climate control knobs are different because the centre of the button can be pushed in and has an electrical component inside. I’m not good at posting pics but if you look up a Pro interior you can see one button says auto and the other dual. The AJT site says not compatible with this.

I've all AJT black dials with black hex screws as well as radio dials. I love aggressive look and quality of these.
