I also use the Viair 450P bagged compressor and am super happy with it so far. I’ve used it about a dozen times and have had 0 issues with it. My buddy
bought one of these and is happy with it.

Smittybilt 5.5 cfm

I upgraded to viair 450p then saw my buddy used smittybilt and was way faster, So I switched to smittybilt. only two things wrong with Smittybilt and they are easy fixes for $20

added air pressure switch and I/M air chuck and it's better than most portable air pumps

VIAIR 300P in a bag. Does 18psi to 38psi on 265/70/17s in decent time. ARB single under the hood is primarily for the locker, but is also setup to be a backup just in case. The VIAIR shows no signs of stopping though. Automatic shutoff would be nice, but not necessary.

In my case, all i wanted to upgrade is use a longer wire instead of longer air hose. It does not make sense to use a longer hose if the switch is at the compressor. I only inflate one tire at a time.

Not sure what you guys thought of as the best choice in 2019 but right now I have a very nice Dewalt which I bought for a low price!I was just looking for that as with Toyota models this can become a challenge to find, even online. There are some specific requirements for my Cayenne as I need perfect inflation levels in order to not have performance issues. I like to hit circuit races once in a while with it for fun, so for me kylesgarage.com was a great encounter in order to find an affordable air compressor that matches my car's specification. Moreover, it includes various models that are under 200$ which is a bargain for a quality piece which you have for other uses too.

I concur with those who recommended the Smittybuilt. They are fantastic for the money and fill tires extremely quickly.

The smittybuilt is at the top of my list. But no one as mentioned the Desert Armor Beast yet. I want to get my hands on one and see if it will fit under the hood.

I have an ARB Dual under the hood with a tank, but before that I had a Viair 400P. Was great, but needed a tank.

I have the ARB twin portable setup that comes in a plastic case with a tank. Very fast, but takes up too much cargo space so I took it apart and planned to install it under the hood on my 5th gen. NOPE. Does not work with the M.O.R.E. bracket because the compressor is a slightly different design than the one made for mounting. Maybe other brackets will work but I doubt it.
