5th Gen Rust Issues

Hey folks, its been a while since I've posted here but I need the 5 gen 4Runner communities help and maybe this will help other people who have this rust issue going on. I got a 2018 4Runner that was purchased new and currently it has 44k miles. Recently I noticed rust forming in a few locations, the tailgate and the rockers (under the sill covers and inside). Was doing a pre-winterizing and pulled the rocker sill covers for a cleaning and application of wax. These covers haven't been off since the PPF was applied to the rockers. Being curious I stuck my small inspection camera into the rocker and found more rust. Not only that but I see Toyota thought it was a good idea to let the sunroof drain right inside the rocker panel possibly causing the inside rocker rust. What I am asking of the community is if you have had any rust issues with your 5 gen with lower mileage please post some pictures and some info on when you found the rust. I don't know where this may lead but I have a feeling this is a common issue and Toyota needs to take care of us owners when these issues arise. I appreciate any of you willing to provide information on this.

yeah I was under mine the other day looking at rust. I was gonna wire wheel the bad stuff and put rust paint overtop of it. Some areas quite abit of corrosion. I already did the rusted rear hitch area with paint. Looks alot better.

If you live where they salt the roads you need to stay on top of cleaning the frame and get underneath for an inspection every year or it will eat up the undercarriage. And it gets in some spots that aren't normally inspected, like behind the plastic plug in the front of the rear wheel well. I have an '03 and both those plugs are now gone and replaced with a piece of sheet metal 3-4 times as large that I RTV'd and screwed in place and then shot with spray undercoating because the area around them rusted away.

Steering Spindle & LCA Rust

Went to get some new Rubber on the wheels and noticed i have a bunch of extra rust build up on basically the entire (both sides) steering and control arm assembly. Live by the beach, but also venture to anza, ocotillo, and glamis as often as I can. As well as pismo so they do take abnormal punishment. Looking to replace them as I see the steering spindle on the driver side has some splits in the metal. Any recommendations on quality replacements preferably where i can pick up in the San Diego area... if not, somewhere that can ship reasonably quick. As with every purchase also not looking to break the bank on these parts as I intend to put a long travel kit or something more than I've got. Any recommendations for that as well would be greatly appreciated.
