Unfortunately, we do not have a dealer in Denver, but for the sliders, we ship them USP so the shipping cost are low and we are saying if you ORDER YOUR ROCK SLIDERS BEFORE 11/15/19 AND WE WILL GUARANTEE TO HAVE THEM TO YOU BEFORE CHRISTMAS OR SOONER!

Plus 1 here, with kids you would really want the plate.

Well Carlodonz, I plated mine. I live in the desert SW where mud and snow are rarely encountered so I bought angled RSG, kickout, holes down. Dry rocky gravely sandy dusty mesquite lined trails and roads are what I mainly encounter so the top plate's "protection factor" made sense to me. Non-plate angled looks really good but plated functionally won out. I hope you are pleased with whatever you decide to get. Happy trails.

I don't have kids, but I do have a dog and went with Shrockworks with a plate so he doesn't break his leg.

Bumping this thread up.
I was originally going to go with shrockworks on my new 2020, but someone in this thread mentioned that if someone's foot slipped and it went down between the slider and the car that they could really get hurt. That really made quite a bit of sense to me, especially since family members are either girls or older-aged. Not to mention, it rains a lot here in FL and even I might slip on the things and have that happen. I like the look, but sometimes that has to give way to practicality.
I think I've decided to go with RSG. Angled with the grip top plate and the kickout, DOM metal, powdercoated. All together, they're like $1200 shipped.
Didn't someone mention that there's a coupon for $100 off?

Rock Sliders: thread plate or not?
Here is my TRD Pro with Shrockworks. I wish they didn’t stick out so far, but it works great as a step and protects the door from dings I think.

I went with plates on C4 Fab sliders. I didn't want my dog to hang a leg while jumping in or out... that would make for a bad day.

You don't really need to splurge for the DOM metal in Florida. Their regular metal should be perfectly good for our trails and light off road use here. I'm in Jax, Fl and just ordered a set myself. Message Jason from RSG on here and ask for the current discount code. He sent me a message with a code when I asked. Certainly helps offset the shipping quite a bit.

I ordered flat sliders with plates mostly because I want to use them as "running boards" for the wife and kid. Easier to justify the purchase that way

Hello,
There are many differences. Which sliders are you looking at 0 or 20?

I would reconsider if I was in your shoes. I have the angled RSG with kickout, no tread plate. My wife is 5’2” and hates them when she wears heels lol. My mom struggled to get in. If I had to do it over again I would pick the flat with tread plates. Just my .02
